On the occasion of the vinyl rerelease of 1+3+1 (Triosk meets Jan Jelinek, faitback05), Jan Jelinek's ICE Compositions are being made available digitally for the first time. ICE Compositions was released back in 2002 as a strictly limited vinyl EP on the En/Of label as part of a collaboration with the US artist Sarah Morris. The tracks are named after the different trains aboard which they were composed on a laptop while traveling.  

All of the tracks on the EP were interpreted by the Australian band Triosk and later re-edited/arranged by Jelinek. These versions/variations can be found on the album 1+3+1.

Wiggly, spellbinding sounds for number sixty seven from Montreal based NAP (@napmusick) aka Daniel Rincón. 

The talented Colombian/ Canadian artist is known for his solo productions, as well as @ambien-baby alongside @d-tiffany, and La Fe, a collaboration between him and Michael Red. He also runs his own label, Isla (@sonidoisla). Through any respective alias or project, Daniel has an amazing array of eclectic  sounds on offer.

This mix is yet another showcase of his diverse and exciting musical taste. I'm so happy to have him as part of the series.

It's come to that time of the year again, well a bit later, but you know what they say... Time to unleash the beast once more yet a different one it is. Still following the same thread: moving forwards whilst looking backwards, continuing the explorations and the excavations to and from Knowhere. Unexpected blends and mash-ups which will hopefully give birth to new ideas for some, inspirations for others. Well, they have for us as we can now turn this page and move on... As you might've guessed by now, this message can be seen as an announcement: a new episode, airing soon on Good Morning Tapes. Nathan Dawidowicz's path has been one of contrast and exploration. Born to a Polish-Lithuanian mother and Cameroonian father, they moved from Milan to Jerusalem at the age of six, growing up in an ultra-Orthodox Jewish community. While pursuing an academic path in design, music remained a constant companion, deeply rooted in childhood experiences playing the piano within religious ceremonies.

Though design became their formal study, it was music that provided a way to navigate life. Inspired by their father’s time as a DJ in Milan throughout the '80s and '90s, Nathan’s relationship with sound evolved, eventually leading them to Berlin, where they continued to explore expression through music.
In Berlin, they joined forces with Luspoderosa, a label based between Zurich and Berlin, known for its unconventional approach. This collaboration became the foundation for Nathan’s debut solo album, Sanctuary of Ideas—a deeply personal, cosmic exploration of memory, heritage, and the emotional landscapes of sound.
