as much as I hate doing this, some don'ts:

don't private message me to listen to your tracks. don't hit me up for promotion, tit for tat listens, likes, or reposts. i don't follow, out of principle, people with disproportionately large followers to follow ratios. these accounts always harvest followers and will unfollow. i do my best to listen to followers' tracks. if I like what I hear, I follow back. I am active on SoundCloud, and do my best to be a good citizen, which includes a lot of time dedicated to listening.

Brillman has been an electronic online musician during the last 20 years using many different names: Brillman, Controlfreak, freakcontrol, Red Karma, Atmosphere, Zero Loop, Pan64, Randomcontrol, geometric delay and Superfreak! Brillman mainly creates original sounds from hardware synths but also uses guitar, samplers, vocals or even poetry. He primarily utilizes a 4 to the floor approach. The aesthetics behind the music is about finding a balance between minimalism vs. depth & improvisation vs. programmed.

I've become addicted to drone. Again. I was the kid with his head on the piano, listening to the overtones die away, or pressing his ear to the steel hull of the ferry, enthralled by the sounds it created. I was the kid who formed wordless songs to accompany the sound of train wheels on a long journey, or hummed along with the fan on a hot day.

In the 60s I used to play my 45s on 16, or backwards, or by hand using razor blades as stylii.

I made cut-up tapes on a cheap cassette recorder in the 70s and experimented with reel-to-reel in the 80s.
