In its 4th installment, JIN, the Taipei, Taiwan-based label, continues its cosmic journey with a set of tracks that simmer between peak-time dance floor and early morning afterhours vibe. First upsee Bangkok's Siamese Twins mainstay Sunju Hargun, 1/2 of Mogambo, returning to JIN with two A-side tracks.

The first “Chale” is a modern ode to classic trance that will leave dancefloors from Bangkok to Berlin in ecstasy. His second track-フーイズカサンドラ("Who is Kassandra") is a post peak-time 7-minute acid bomb that spins and reverberates in every direction. 

The B-side features two remixes of “Chale”. First up, Barcelona's wunderkind Marc Pinol removes the trance needle and rebuilds the track creating a perfectly dubbed-our cosmic trip between musical galaxies. Finishing the E.P. Taipei's own Initials B.B. incorporates guitar samples turning the original into a futuristic, new wave-like slow burner that leaves one floating between planets.

Exploring deeper strains of club music from his home base in Helsinki, Kaspiann presents the
latest transmission on VALA alongside frequent collaborator VC-118A. Samuel van Dijk previously
adopted his deep techno guise Multicast Dynamics for a joint track with Kaspiann on VALA 1, and
now he switches stance to his celebrated VC-118A alias to bring an elegant kind of electro to this
EP. It’s a style which also informs Kaspiann’s solo work on ‘Moraalivesi’, which upholds the
producer’s patient, meditative sound palette while toying with crooked electro rhythms. It’s
‘Metsätutka’ where he locks into a driving 4/4 propulsion adorned with subtle electro-acoustic
percussion and a keen sense of space.

On the collaborative tracks with van Dijk there’s a greater sense of head-tweaking electro setting
the tone, embracing a tightly wound framework as a vessel for richly rendered soundscapes just
past the foreground machine funk activity. If ‘510’ is a subtly deep, industrially-tinged workout, ‘Sea
Of Cities’ shifts the focus slightly to toy with melodic elements more wholeheartedly, creating an
emotional kind of sonic futurism in the grand tradition of electro soul.

[HARMONY016]— Limping on Clouds is an EP born from an in-depth collaboration between @polygonia and @shoall. The A-side features one carefully curated track by each artist, while the B-side is a true symbiosis of their work, evolving from a single element or layer loop into a complete mix and arrangement that was gradually developed over time and distance.
 
Side A opens with Shoal's “Majola,” featuring layered breaks and a deep, slung bass, followed by Polygonia's “Repeat,” infused with kinetic energy, rhythmic elements, and euphonic vocal samples.

The synergistic B-side unfolds with a subtle, organic rhythm. “Pendulum” overflows with lush ambiance, creating an ethereal mood that pervades the record. The EP concludes on a downtempo note with the track “Limping on Clouds.”

After seven years since his last release, label CEO Mr Assister makes a long-overdue return to beam. Across four tracks, including a remix from close friend of the label, al dente, the EP explores the rhythmic and psychoactive spaces between techno, tek haus, and minimal psy. Opening the EP, ‘Braised’ juxtaposes two sensibilities, situating playful grooves amid droning, disaffected atmospheres. ‘Communing’ builds on the rolling templates of psychedelic trance, with swarms of glitched-out percussion and pads that reveal traces of melancholia. In ‘Broken Through’, four-four kicks dip their toes into streams of acid, reflecting textures of technological breakdown. Rounding off the EP, al dente reimagines ‘Braised’ via his signature brand of warping swamp-tek.
