My interpretation of the boot theme for Mandriva 2006
if you want to install mandriva 2006 on a virtual machine
google mandriva 2006 iso incase the one at ftp.riken.jp goes missing
grab all 3 CD isos
create a new virtualbox image for Mandriva 32 bit with no drive
get rid of anything sata and just add a drive under the IDE controller
do the install
when it gets near the end and says X graphics system isn't configured or it has red text in the video thingy, make sure to configure it
select Vesa as the X server
1024 x 768 @ 70 hz for the monitor
800x600 8bpp for the resolution
you can try other things and hopefully they work! but this config worked for me
