In the lead up to Ark-E-Tech & Käse Kochen's "FAUNA" EP we unleash this beast upon the planet. Following Like Liquid's take on Slam Jamwedge is the psychedelia of Ark-E-Tech, sparking interesting movement and playful imagery of the deep bush and lush swamps. Kochen's guitar work features throughout the number forging a grounding groove. It's obvious how well these two master creators work with some tangible fluidity and so the excitement builds for the FAUNA EP release in January 2017, kick starting a new era of Bassic Records.

Ark-E-Tech stations himself in the lush surroundings of Byron Bay where he delves into exploration and experimentation of sound, recently performing at Strawberry Fields, Subsonic Music Festival, Bohemian Beatfreaks, HOME Festival SEQ and Aphotic Warehouse Sydney. Käse Kochen dwells in the sumptuous rainforest of Tasmania, cooking daily techno to eat and feed all who listen. Having just performed at Subsonic Music Festival, he now looks toward his next summer festival bookings - Rainbow Serpent and Fractangular Gathering.

Across The Molecule

Ark-E-Tech and Käse Kochen find a bond in exploring the far reaches of music production, coming together for their first collaboration EP. Merging their creativity they form a unique style of funkadelic prog-tech in FAUNA. Driven by playful energetic basslines and laden with horns, guitar, even a bit of harmonica, the original tracks are twisted into an earthy and elated energy. Inspiration for FAUNA derives from dusty dance floors and the artists’ native habitats of lush forests surrounding Byron Bay and the wildlands of Tasmania. FAUNA explores the wonderfully weird world of Australian native animals - wombats, frill neck lizards and electronic music producers.

The remixes further the strong represent of Australian techno that Bassic Records aims to guide. The robust basslines of Like Liquid and Rainbird thump through the bush while their cheeky structure and sampling forges their lively energy. Gabriel Moraes puts forth a deep emotive interpretation, skilfully progressing as a listener is left to feel calmly consumed by the night. Docosc is the final piece of the release, an open platter of psychedelic experimentalism, the thrill neck scampering through sand and sound.

First preview from the upcoming PS11 CD is the fantastic remix Captain Hook made to Six Feet Under. It was played all over during 2017, with great response, and maybe the most special moment was playing in Freaks Of Nature festival in Germany, while a Minus DJ ( techno label belongs to Richie Hawtin ) was gearing up to play after me. When this track dropped it's bassline, he left all his equipment bonanza and totally disregarding the fact it's probably some 15 bpm faster than his preferred tempo he started jumping in the DJ booth... True story!! Great remix
