After the success of ‘A Is For Acid’ Perc Trax Ltd continues with the first ever collaboration between the London brutalist dream team of label boss Perc and regular Perc Trax artist Truss (R&S, Avian, OCS) for an EP of no-bullshit, hardware based techno. 

Three tracks, each recorded fully live in one take. No second attempts, no re-edits and no processing of the tracks after they were recorded. Add mastering by Matt Colton and you have one of Perc Trax's rawest releases so date. 

As with A Is For Acid the first pressing of this 12” will be on clear vinyl with a full colour double-sided artwork insert by Jonny Costello, who also created the artwork for Perc’s ‘Wicker & Steel’ and ‘Labour Division’ by Forward Strategy Group.

WEEKEND HEROES PROMO DJ MIX AUGUST 2013

Following their double contribution to Stellate 2, Italian duo Plaster - Gianclaudio Hashem Moniri and Giuseppe Carlini - return to Stroboscopic Artefacts for the label's Monad XV release.
From the first few bars of opener 'Quasar' it is clear that this is a record of certain intensity. 'Quasar' moves brusquely through the shadows, strutting on the slabs of its thick kick drum. Waves of dissonance surround an increasingly unsettled patchwork of percussion, before the anxiety grinds to a halt.
Second track 'Uret' is a cleaner proposition. The layers are less and the drive is more, a hi-hat on the even beats adding a confidence of which other tracks would be envious. 'Tangle' follows. It is the uneven beat, the ugly duckling, the most industrial. It rampages forth, with a seemingly innocent echo leading the charge into chaos.
Where 'Tangle' brings chaos, final track 'Libra' brings perspicacity. The combination of metallic shimmer, tribal percussion and odd glint of light lends time and space to reflect. For this is a record of individual tales - but one executed with an encompassing, unifying sound.

Delsin is proud to announce that we are working with Will & Ink, a new label and production duo of the same name. Well, they aren’t really new, because individually Will & Ink are Dutchmen with many musical projects to their names. 

This new project, however, is something different. When Will & Ink got together for the first time they had a gut feeling that they could add something new to the techno world. This is why their raw and pounding sound is brought to life through custom-built hardware, which you can see in action during their unique live sets. 

Now those first tracks get an official release in the form of this three track Fermat EP. The opening track, First Fermat is a well swung, cantering techno groove with swinging hi hats and the sandiest of hits peeling off the top. The percussion and metallic rattles sound like nothing else and all in all it’s one of the most infectious warehouse styled tracks you are likely to hear. 

Second Fermat recalls the releases of Fachwerk and is built on the same bubbly, grip-y drums and clattering rhythm sections, but this time a dark, filtered vocal lurks in the middle to add an element of intensity and paranoia amongst the spangled synths.

Finally, Third Fermat is a little more stripped back. The textures are still sandy and rough edged, the beats still seem to lean into a stiff wind but here the hook is a frazzled, blistered little synth which tears up the middle of the track, hypnotising as it goes. This EP marks quite the debut for a pair that has many more special techno treats up their sleeves for the coming months, both in the studio and live arena.
