So finally after 9 months of the release of the first session from Perception of Depth Podcast brought by Refracted we are back for the 2nd session.This one is brought by S/EXP a side project from the well known Italian Producer Emanuele Pertoldi.

It's been a great year for S/EXP.He released an album on Eclipse Music wich received great feedbacks from all the corners of the world from various listeners.And now he expects releases on ROHS and Shaded Explorations,this last one it's a label created by him with the aim of helping smaller artists from Europe the first release will be a k7 VA containing artists like Alan Backdrop,Versenkt,The Lone Roamer,Refracted and more.

So as you see S/EXP is an artist that never stops doing what he loves most wich is music you can expect to be hearing more from him in the next years.

Now enjoy this great live set recorded in Club To Club a 3 day Festival that happened in Torino(Italy) some months ago. This live set is all hardware based no computer.

And you will see by the interview that he is a great and humble person.

Bio:

Emanuele Pertoldi was born in a small village in the North East of Italy. After
releasing music with his own name and founding different projects like Evasion
Room Records (with RIccardo D'Agostini), in 2013 he started a new alias, Shaded
Explorer, with the aim to represent himself in a more intimate way.
The description of the project says: "Shaded Explorer lives in a place where the
music is hidden behind a dense fog and dreams are suffocated by an unpromising
reality. This stimulates him to continue his research of magical places around the
world, being them ethereal landscapes, deep cenotes or blue seas. In those places
he discovered and created new sounds, melodies and rhythms that melted
together create soundscapes for escape."
The first release is an album on Eclipsemusic that was also played live by him (just
with hardware) at Club To Club in Turin, one of the most representative festivals in
Italy. Following this concept in 2014 he founded his own intimate imprint Shaded
Explorations, released the second album on Silent Season and an ep on Kabalion
(Hypnus parent label).
With his projects, he played at Tresor (DE), Le Batofar (FR), The Frag (ITA), Fiese
Remise (DE), Griessmuehle (DE), Tribal (UK), Sala X (SPA), BHo! (ITA), and other
parties, clubs and festivals like Club 2 Club, iClaut, Homepage etc.

Hello and welcome back to The Poeticast. Happy new year to everyone. 2016 promises to be big, and to kick off in tremendous fashion we play host to one of Italy's most exciting electronic artists at the moment, Alfredo Mazzilli.

Alfredo was born in Southern Italy. Knowing and working with different organizations in Puglia, he played with some big artists, like Rodhad, Redshape, Tadeo and Unbalance.

In 2013, he joined with "Ways", organization, a party in the southern Italy. He became a resident, and had the privilege  and the opportunity to perform with famous artists including:

Svreca, Francois X, Dj Skirt, MAX_M, Dino Sabatini and Hiver.

Alfredo has been mastering his craft in the studio over the past few years and his productions have been released on Planet Rhythm, Edit Select, Silent Season, Blankstairs and Truth Or Consequences.

Emanuele Pertoldi aka Shaded Explorer was born in a small village in the North East of Italy where he still lives. Since he was a child he had a strong passion for music and it became stronger and stronger. He took a degree in Modern Music - Music Production in Bologna. 

He founded Evasion Room Records with Riccardo D'Agostini in 2011 and Evasion Room Live with Riccardo, Daniele and Andrea, a live based on improvisations only with hardware machines and synths. With Andrea only, they produce and perform as Tripsolate & Redundænt. 
Some solo productions came out as Redundænt too, including an album on OVUNQVE. In 2013 he started a new alias, Shaded Explorer, with the aim to represent himself in a more intimate way. He is also half of Mörk, with his Berlin based friend Francesco Devincenti. The project is focused on hardware only live acts too. They also launched Doble Bilder, a vinyl record label to release their own music without compromises.

Another new project is Mykja, were Emanuele and Christian Pevere share their passion for synths and nature, merging together their different experiences into something genuine and spontaneous.

On remix duty is R&S new signing Space Dimension Controller (AKA 20 year old Belfast based producer Jack Hamill). This young analogue freak is equally influenced equal parts by Model 500, Zapp, Aphex Twin and Drexciya (a perfect combination for an R&S artist). His take of Digital Forest takes it down a deeper, lush, funkier route that perfectly compliments the original.

Shaded Explorer is Emanuele Pertoldi's main musical project. In 2014 he started his own label called Shaded Explorarions, which is known for its compilation series, where recently the third episode came out, containing tracks made by himself and his colleagues of the deep techno genre. Emanuele is succesful with putting out material with high quality sound, which led to releasing his work on labels like Silent Season, Kabalion or Midgar just to name a few. His approach to the sound was also the reason why we asked him to master our first compilation - Prime Meridian. 
We do feel very nostalgic about this recording, because it was recorded on a party in Mensch Meier (Berlin) which we co-organised with our friends of Nachtasyl and Valian kollektiv.

DJ Foster has stepped up for the next in our 2013 Outlook festival mix series 

Dj since 1998, former turntablist, DJ Foster sits among the Italian dubstep pioneers, spreading awarness for this genre since 2006. Dubplates lover, DJ Foster hosts his own weekly radio show since 2009 on Sub.FM, one of the most influential Dubstep radio station world wide. As part of an International network of musicians and tastemakers, DJ Foster holds regular gigs in Italy and abroad. Shows in London, Bristol, Amsterdam, Berlin or Pula, where he was invited to join the highly celebrated Outlook Festival, are just outstanding examples of such an exposure. This brought him to share the stage with artists like Benga, Pinch, N-Type, Storm, Calyx, Noisia and many more. Moreover, he was chosen for collaborations by iconic global fashion and lifestyle brands like New Era, Ecko or Dojo Clothing to name a few. DJ Foster is half of the Dubspencersound Crew along with MC Ganji-Killah, a well known artist from the Italian underground hip hop scene.
