Inside Mind, Sinestesia - Reshape  Reality (Digital Om)

On his debut EP for Subetasch Records, Jdis presents a selection of six very different tracks, each one connected to a certain time or feeling, mostly shaped by travel or nature experiences, leaving cloudy memories of movement, motion, drifts, transitions and slow transformations. 

"Outside Again" travels from a chaotic, hiphop-influenced beat to a breakbeat, combined with celestial bells - and somewhere at the end, there is a 4-to-the-floor kick shining through. A dreamy journey to a far away place. 
"Locked" is a straightforward techno banger, where squealing tyres finally meet a tune, which again is opposed by a distorted kick. 
"3_p7a-var-2-4c" dives deep into breakbeat with a heavy bassline and slightly funny bleeps and bloops that keep the track driving forward. 
"Acid Retreat" is influenced by oldscool acid house, it has the vibe of drifting clouds, made to lose your sense of time. 
"2019" is a track that Jdis started to write in the year 2019, but it wasn't finished during the whole corona-period. Under these impressions, the track took on different forms, again and again, and was finally finished after it was all over. Now it has become a trip through polyrhythmic synths, before a distorted breakbeat takes over, finally leading to a clear sky with a catchy melodic phrase that gets stuck.  
The last track, "Linked In", continues this flow, and again, we end up on a dreamy trip with a powerful beat, somewhere close to deep house. 

The EP title "Unfinished Emotions" refers to the tendency of capitalism to sell "finished emotions", which means pre-defined emotions that are tied to a specific product. Music in general is a carrier of emotions anyway, in this case, "unfinished emotions" simply means, that certain sounds are not made to generate certain emotions - the emotion of the sound is only defined when the listener does so.
