Hey there, So with the spring time here is first part of two part concept "When You Want To Shoot, Shoot - Don't Talk"... First part called "The Talker" while second part probably will be called "The Shooter"... I changed my recording techniques this time, creating the recording on Ableton Live, using Vestax VCM600 controller to manipulate, tweak, break and destroy, and in general I was in a Rock'n'Roll mood while recording :) So it's not an easy listening if you were expecting different. For those concerned about my DJ gigs - I am still with my CD case for now, and have no visible plans to move to do that through Laptop, although the temptation is there. Enjoy!!

As with many of the best relationships in today's day and age, Yaya and Jun Akimoto found each other on Facebook. Yaya reached out to Jun and "BOOM", a beautiful musical relationship sprouted. 

A beautiful complex fusion of Deep & Spacious, Trippy & Relentless is used in perfect harmony for their new Just You EP. You can clearly hear Yaya's melancholic tone in combination with Jun Akimoto's trademark wistful tremble. Getting lost in a wave of digital release is the only natural response.

The track Just You is introduced with a deep trembling bass line, whispers of vocals and scratchy undertones that add both dimension and character. This loopy number will surely transport you to the moon and back.

Only That Time features a murky interpretation of a clock ticking followed by quick tremors of snaps and beeps. Yaya and Jun have created a perfect medley of sounds that lead to a perfectly orchestrated enigmatic climax. 

When I listen to Pastral Clap all I can envision is a going on a deep-sea exploration. With shivering bass and shadowy hints of vigor, how can one not be transported into the depths of the ocean? 

Just when you think it can't get any better - we go and do some thing like this. Drum Roll Please, we are proud to present for the first time EVER: a VINYL SERIES. That's right, Maison D'etre is releasing Yaya and Jun Akimoto's Just You EP on vinyl. We couldn't help ourselves - some tracks just absolutely NEED to be on vinyl, ya know?

Mostly I am not overly excited of listening to my older musical experiments, these one however, in my opinion stand well the test of time... Enjoy

This set is a "more or less" accurate copy of the set I played on the Sky stage on the Eclipse 2012 fest. For me that was the most special place to hang out, the location on the river bed with that magical house facade that was built there, Berlin street names etc... was just fantastic. That special evening was über fantastic as I played there music I am ( unfortunately ) not able to play anymore at most of the parties I DJ at, due to popular demand of Psy Prog trance to be played, and at the Eclipse, this set was the best I played during the year 2012, it was fantastic, and for those 90 minutes I felt that OMG feeling once again - to play out music I REALLY love.

Bepackt mit zwei alten Kassettendecks, aus dem einen schallte noch der Discosound der 70er während aus dem anderen munter der Soundtrack von Miami Vice trällerte, kamen die ersten Inspirationen für einen neuen Mix zusammen. Und in Kombination mit ein wenig Staub von den Landstraßen zwischen München und Kopenhagen und einem Hauch Bass entstand dann so oder so ähnlich der neue Mix von pängepung. Warum es in den Tracks so oft um Liebe geht und wo eigentlich der Beat herkommt, weiß aber keiner so genau…

Med to gamle boom boxes på skuldrene, hvor den ene spillede disko musik fra halvfjerdserne og den anden soundtracked fra Miami Vice, kom inspirationerne frem til noget nyt. Og blandet med lidt støv fra landevejene mellem München og København og en smule bas blev det nye mix fra pängepung skruet sammen - mere eller mindre. Men hvorfor sangene så tit handler om kærlighed og hvor bassen kommer fra, er der faktisk ikke nogen der ved...

Packed with two old tape decks, one still blasting the 70’s disco sound while the other one was cheerfully playing the soundtrack of Miami Vice, the first inspirations for a new mix came together. And combined with a bit of dust from the roads between Munich and Copenhagen and a hint of bass or something like that the new mix by pängepung was created. Why the tracks are so often about love and where the beat is coming from... nobody really knows.

Perfect Stranger is the stage name for California-based, Israeli electronic musician Yuli Fershtat. The Perfect Stranger project was created in February 2005 and within 2 years of its debut became critically acclaimed all over the globe. Perfect Stranger ultimately created his own sub-genre in the psychedelic scene by presenting a totally distinctive sound characterized by groovy playful beats and patiently built compositions that often bridge between progressive trance and techno with a presence of tribal and psychedelic elements.

Perfect Stranger has released 3 full artist albums, 3 remix albums, 3 compilations and appears on well over a hundred other releases (compilations, EPs, albums, etc.). He also owns & runs the “Digital Structures” label, where he publishes more tech-orientated sounds under the Yuli Fershtat moniker.
