If you haven’t heard of the band Perfect Me before, you might think that the band members have somewhat of an inflated ego. But when the band name was born, the collective consisted of just two members and the word “perfect” was meant to reflect their creativity and desire to better themselves. Now Perfect Me is a complete five-piece band and can be righteously called perfect. Perfect Me music successfully fuses elusive melodies, original rhythmic structures and emotional female vocals which all deliver the sound up to par with the european scene.

The story of Perfect Me starts in November 2008 in Moscow, Russia. It was that time when Maxim Komov and Boris Sivalkin turned to their music drafts to modify compositions and write new arrangements. They were experimenting with Post-Rock, IDM, Trip-Hop and even Ambient and Drone music. When jazz vocalist Marina Volkova entered the group it was decided to form a full live band with drummer and start preparing for concert shows. In August 2009 an experienced drummer Yuri Kuldo and bass-guitar player Vladimir Brezgunov joined Perfect Me and the band started their studio recording sessions.

In the beginning of 2010 the band released their first single The Place That I Call Home on russian label 3PBeats Records. The record has a studio outtake “Best Kept Secret” which in the future was used as a soundtrack for Kaspersky Lab commercial. The single was met with a great interest from public which was followed by the great number of remixes made by DJ’s from Russia and Republic of Belarus. A collection of these remixes called The Place That I Call Home (Remixes) was released under the american label Lifted Sounds Records. During the same year the band was rehearsing their live performance and debuted as a live band in November 2010 Crazy Milk club, Moscow.
The band greeted 2011 with a solo performance at the Union Of Composers jazz club. Shortly after they returned to studio work and presented a new track Against the Tide as a self-produced promo video.
In the beginning of September 2011 the band take a part in Art Boulevard festival with such headliners like Grim Brothers, Yulia Savicheva, End of Movie and others.
In the middle of September the band performed at the biggest open air festival in Ukraine - Jazz Koktebel 2011, on the same stage with Anna Maria Jopek, Karl Frierson, Parov Stelar Band и Red Snapper.
In the meantime Perfect Me finished working on their debut album which was released by Octava Alliance in June 2012.

Charlie Chan (they/them) is an award-winning Australian composer, pianist, multi-instrumentalist, performer and recording artist. Their mission is to use technology and creativity to bring people together and make the world a better place.

Charlie’s prolific career includes compositions for stage and screen, multiple critically-acclaimed solo albums, and performances in some of the most renowned Australian and international venues and locations, from the Sydney Opera House to the United Nations and NASA. 

Charlie recognised early on the possibilities of digital technology, both to create and market their own music, as well as the music of others. They bring broad-ranging musicality, technical innovation, entrepreneurial flair and contagious energy to all their endeavours. 

A true digital innovator, Charlie operates at the intersection of technology and creativity, and believes strongly that creativity is essential to qualify, test, exploit and improve the innovations around us. In a world increasingly dominated by technology, Charlie believes creativity and creative thinkers are increasingly important to push the boundaries of that technology and challenge its outcomes.

In 2013, Charlie co-founded the Global Orchestra. Connecting musicians from around the world, its ambitious vision is to use music as an agent for social and environmental change. Utilising state-of-the-art technology, its concerts have involved thousands of musicians and orchestras in more than 350 locations globally. In partnership with Accenture in 2017 Charlie founded the Interactive Orchestra, an extension of the Global Orchestra, to showcase the convergence of technology and creativity. It used artificial intelligence and audience interaction to program a marimba-playing robot alongside a 40-piece jazz ensemble. 

In November 2019 Charlie performed at the United Nations General Assembly in New York as part of the UNICEF summit held on World Children’s Day to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child. Together with PS22 Chorus, a 60-strong children’s choir from Staten Island, Charlie performed her original song We The Children commissioned for Damon Gameau’s climate change documentary 2040.

A passionate meditation advocate, Charlie is also creator of Museful Live, providing meditation through music, to both live audiences and via broadcast-quality live streams.
