UK imprint Saucy Records has been shining a light on budding artists with its Saucy Vibes offshoot, and Mike Jones is next victim on their list. For his outing on the label, the upstart whipped up a tech house number with a mean-mugging groove. The vocal refrain, taken from its namesake “Don’t Stop,” urges the listener not to sleep, which is a rather unlikely scenario considering the tune’s robust drum patterns and sizzling basslines.

2016  has  been  quite  a  year  for  Perfecto  Black.  It  has  firmly  rooted  itself  as  one  of  the most   evolving   and   exciting   progressive   labels,   delivering   quality   releases   which continually gain support from the biggest names in the scene. 

For  our  final  release  of  2016  label  A&R  Phil  has  gone  back  to  the  true  roots  of  the Perfecto  Black  sound  and  delivered  a  stunning  track  in  the  form  of  Shapes.  Having experimented with deeper, darker sounds, Shapes is a track that has been made purely for the loyal fans of Perfecto Black. 

The  track  is  synonymous  with  Phil’s  sound.  The  deep,  dark  bassline  drives  the  track, whilst layers of percussion are gradually added, keeping the momentum and pace of the track   evolving.   Delicate   arps   are   introduced   as   the   tune   progresses   towards   the breakdown. The  warm  pad  bass  complements  the  main  riff,  with  the arp  evolving  and rising towards the drop. 

Sticking true to the Black ethos, delivering quality progressive sounds.

Silk Music welcomes Russian singer and songwriter DASHANIKON, who showcases her unique voice with "Somebody Like You." On remix detail, we welcome back venerable label residents LTN (Indonesia) and Cloudive (Russia), who provide soulful and evocative progressive and deep house remixes.

Up first is LTN's 'Sunrise' Vocal Remix, which takes off on a soothing note -- blissful, subtle piano notes and calm percussion elements create a hypnotizing soundscape. DASHANIKON's beautiful vocals blend perfectly well with the different melodic layers, and numerous synth variations and sound effects spice up the mix even more.

Cloudive's take includes strong percussion lines, mesmerizing synth stabs, and brilliant vocal textures. In the main break, we witness fascinating melodies with DASHANIKON's gorgeous vocals on top. Later, a groovy and joyful theme lead starts to dominate the mix, taking the song to another level.

The Original Mix of "Somebody Like You" begins with an absolutely stunning soundscape. DASHANIKON's captivating vocals are on full display here, with numerous variations and layers. Later, a subtle breakbeat is introduced, accompanied by lush piano strokes and great percussion textures.

Ukrainian producer Lugovskiy returns to Steve Angello’s SIZE Records with his N.002 EP. 

The long-awaited follow up to N.001, N.002 is the second in a three-EP trilogy from the Eastern European DJ, and leads with ‘Let U Go’, a jaunty production led by the vocals of Chris Calvert.

Having teamed up with the vocalist on previous track ‘Broken Glass’ – which received strong support from BBC Radio 1’s Pete Tong, ‘Let U Go’ flaunts wistful chords, and a cosmic-sounding breakdown led by rich, downtempo beats. The EP’s title track, ‘N.002’ follows a similar path, focusing on thought-provoking synth patterns, and luscious melodies.

Hailing from Kiev, Lugovskiy’s sound is firmly embedded in the electronica/ambient genre, stating the likes of Bonobo, ODESZA and SIZE label boss Steve Angello, as his key musical influences.

Cementing Lugovskiy’s distinct sound, and rich tones, the N.002 EP is set for release on 18th May, solidifying the Ukrainian reputation as one of the most exciting producers around right now.
