Zusammen mit dem afrikanischen Sänger und Gitarristen Tibau Tavares haben Pupkulies & Rebecca hier eine exotische Wundertüte voller stampfender Grooves, lebhafter Akkorde und eingängiger Vocals gepackt. Der Titel Saude bringt all das auf den Punkt, was während der Auftritte des Trios immer wieder enthemmte Entzückung provoziert. Nämlich einen einzigartigen Sound, der raffiniert das Live-Gefühl einer Band mit treibender elektronischer Tanzmusik kombiniert. Und der entspricht wiederum genau dem Beuteraster von Eule:nhaupt & Molle:nhauer. Das tropische Trommeln und die Samba-Pfeifen ihres Remix passen sich klanglich ganz wunderbar um die markanten Vocals und schieben den Titel mit energischem Schwung ganz weit nach vorne. Die dazugehörige Radio-Version reduziert diesen Ansatz auf sein wirksames Prinzip. Im Alleingang steuert Mollono.Bass zusätzlich einen Remix bei, in dem er die wolkenlose Stimmung des Originals mit seinem unterschwellig zwingenden Groove in die Zange nimmt.

Pupkulies & Rebecca joined forces with African singer and guitarist Tibau Tavares to deliver this exotic groove cocktail full stomping rhythms, sparkling chords and catchy vocals. The title Saude puts in a nutshell all the elements that make the gigs of the trio a rousing listening experience full of exciting twists and turns. These elements draw their power from both the energetic live feeling of a band and the dance floor boost of electronic beats.  A mixture that is obviously very compatible with the musical approach of Eule:nhaupt & Molle:nhauer. The tropical drums and samba whistles of their remix are a perfect match for the striking vocals of the original version, adding a proper dose of floorward drive. This principle is reduced to the maximum in an additional Radio-Version. Also there is a Mollono.Bass remix that embeds the cloudless mood of Saude into a perfidious groove understatement.

After releasing his sophomore long player 'We Walked Home Together’ through Fiakun, El_Txef_A returns with a series of remix packs on his own newly created label Forbidden Colours. With this second remix pack the label pursuits its aim to be a home for El_Txef_A’s musical adventures and a way of sharing his vision.

Bedouin wraps the EP up with a mystic and shamanistic feeling on their remix of 'The Love We Lost feat. Woolfy, which we exclusively premiere. Additionally, we caught up with El_Txef_A for a quick chat about Forbidden Colours, Bedouin, touring, and more.

Taking inspiration from his surroundings deep in the Tulum jungle, medicine man LUM takes us on an otherworldly trip, delivering a truly stunning EP for Crosstown sub-label Rebellion, featuring a remix from American duo Bedouin.
 
“The ceremony starts in the jungle,’ explains LUM of the EP’s journey, ‘‘Urpillay’ calls the spirits and asks permission for the celebration. It’s warm, deep strings and pianos lead us to connect with the inner self and mother earth. Bedouin brings the jungle to the dance floor with a powerful remix’. LUM goes on to say, ‘the trumpets, percussion and the angelic voice in ‘Plegaria’ are to say thanks. ’Baaxal’ is a reinterpretation of Mayan music, the spirit of the jungle present. 90 bpm, hypnotic, and 741 hz to awaken intuition. The weirdo underground live-house duo that is SHOUSE often invite local singers and musicians to collaborate when bunkered down in their Collingwood studio. New release “Love Tonight” is an amalgamation of this working environment, whilst being a cheeky parody and adorable homage to the classic ’80’s celebrity extravaganza that was Bandaid “We Are The World”. Assembling a choir of all the people that they have loved and admired in their local scene (Oscar Key Sung, Monte Morgan (Client Liaison), Bec from The Harpoons, HABITS, Pillow Pro and so many more!), Ed and Jack have delivered the type of number that champions unity and a shared sense of eternal wonder for the future! 

For remixes we have Mike Simonetti (Horse Meat Disco) delivering a dark acid heavy late night techno jam, DJ Seinfeld who eschews the hook altogether for a fun lo-fi belter, and Australian newcomers The Nights with a lusciously pulsating melodic mover. Theres also an exceptional Acapella mix with plenty of dance saxophone!

The warmth delivered on this song is arguably tangible! Showing a shared sense of compassion and a display of strength.
