Guided through the violence, memories float out of my brain

I vanished into patterns, learned to echo & obey

Desperate for a savior - but salvation comes too late
Each day, I barely fake it - I'm too tired to escape

It broke. It bled. Am I alive or just misled?

Intrusive thoughts revolving - unrelenting until I'm dead

Feels like I'm the threat - buried deep within my soul
Every night, costs me sleep - gradually taking its control 
Realization takes it toll - still, I'm pushing past the fear
What fear kept locked away now finds it safe to reappear
A part of me still scared, but deep inside it's still sincere

I'm grieving while I'm healing, but now the future's lookin' clear


Shaped into my image - making use of all this pain
The mask's no longer armor, just a part I now reclaim

Still bound by those moments, but now I take the wheel
The thoughts that won't stay silent - I've learned to sit & feel
The echoes still dissuade me, though acceptance helps them heal
Some days still feel hopeless, but I keep those feelings sealed
