It is time for another dose of a stupendous & quality filled release here on Perplexity Music, this time coming from US based talent, Kono (USA). It's a pleasure to have him back here with another 3 track EP titled 'Moku/Petrichor' which would be a journey into the unknown but all will be explained the moment you hit play.  

The first track, 'Moku' is a delightful number to begin with as it highlights what the EP is about & the story behind its title.  You are treated to a host of sun ladened melodies that start off from the moment you press play, illuminating your mind & preparing you for a dazzling production that streams out good feelings & pleasant musings. Moku, a little place of heaven off the Hawaiian coast, a place where the water is as blue as the nightly sky & the sun as blazing as can be, that is where you are transported to from your daily lives; to this exotic & riveting destination. The energetic & subdued synths work well with the overall floating elements of the crisp vocal chops, bringing in flavour & colour to this already extraordinary work of art. A delicate piano line is used for a tender touch to lighten up this exquisite piece bringing it all to soothing & peaceful end; coaxing the lustrous Hawaiian breeze right to you.

There has been a dry spell of weather, but all of a sudden, the rain pours down & engulfs everything in sight, for however long that is. Suddenly, it's bright again & slowly the rain water is drying off, leaving this pungent & dense smell in the air, almost refreshing, as if the pores of rain that are drying are evaporating all around & you can smell it; that, that is 'Petrichor'. As refreshing as the word itself , you can feel that new & untouched feeling of everything being cleansed by the way the gorgeous melody kicks in right away alongside the subtle but strong percussion. The bell like chimes add in that authenticity, with the powerful chord work protruding through to heartfelt sounds. Almost like a rising tide, the breakdown serenades you into oblivion by the light piano lines that purge everything that is dark, leading you into the light before the full extent of the fluttering melody really launches in with the well placed vocal chops; that's when you know you've felt it & tasted it, the freedom after the rain.  

Canadian talent Martin Peter brings in his impressive musical artillery for a divine remix of 'Moku', luring you in with the slow & deep chords that spark wonder yet positivity. This beautiful remix really focuses on the sweet melodies from the original, using a great range of chord accentions & vocal  chops to enhance the smooth & delicate textures of it. It is vibrant & welcoming, really being one to warm up those blistering & fast approaching winter nights with the right blend of rhythm & melody that works strategically, again taking you away to the warm Moku air that surrounds you.

Another EP that has blown us away & we hope that you felt the same range of emotions that these prodigious artists have managed to extract from the deepest parts of us. It's always viable to learn something new, whether through music or life itself, but we hope you gained not only this intoxicating music that runs in tune with our heartbeats but also a place of contentment & belonging in the mere form of words. There has been a dry spell of weather, but all of a sudden, the rain pours down & engulfs everything in sight, for however long that is. Suddenly, it's bright again & slowly the rain water is drying off, leaving this pungent & dense smell in the air, almost refreshing, as if the pores of rain that are drying are evaporating all around & you can smell it; that, that is 'Petrichor'. As refreshing as the word itself , you can feel that new & untouched feeling of everything being cleansed by the way the gorgeous melody kicks in right away alongside the subtle but strong percussion. The bell like chimes add in that authenticity, with the powerful chord work protruding through to heartfelt sounds. Almost like a rising tide, the breakdown serenades you into oblivion by the light piano lines that purge everything that is dark, leading you into the light before the full extent of the fluttering melody really launches in with the well placed vocal chops; that's when you know you've felt it & tasted it, the freedom after the rain.  

Canadian talent Martin Peter brings in his impressive musical artillery for a divine remix of 'Moku', luring you in with the slow & deep chords that spark wonder yet positivity. This beautiful remix really focuses on the sweet melodies from the original, using a great range of chord accentions & vocal  chops to enhance the smooth & delicate textures of it. It is vibrant & welcoming, really being one to warm up those blistering & fast approaching winter nights with the right blend of rhythm & melody that works strategically, again taking you away to the warm Moku air that surrounds you.

Another EP that has blown us away & we hope that you felt the same range of emotions that these prodigious artists have managed to extract from the deepest parts of us. It's always viable to learn something new, whether through music or life itself, but we hope you gained not only this intoxicating music that runs in tune with our heartbeats but also a place of contentment & belonging in the mere form of words. Another awe inspiring EP from Perplexity music, this time with Martin Peter stepping up to the plate and taking listeners on a hope inspiring journey through sound. Minus features a textured chord progression and lush pads bringing out the warmth in not only the track, but in the people who hear it. Alex H only adds more to this with both his original and sunset mixes adding depth and dimension making Minus the perfect track for the ending of this winter season. 
   
Kicking things into a higher gear with Plus, Martin uses a combination of energetic beats and romantic melodies to make listeners really feel the pull of the warm weather that is seemingly so near. Almost teasing you with adventures to come. D05 keeps with that same electrifying enthusiasm really making this a dance floor mover. However, things take a calming turn with Keith Harris's soft and smooth remix. Taking that initial romantic feel, and truly bringing out the best in it.   

Both these tracks, and the remixes contain so much love and passion, it's palpable. It's something that truly needs to be heard and certainly appreciated.
