Moku, a little place of heaven off the Hawaiian coast, a place where the water is as blue as the nightly sky & the sun as blazing as can be, that is where you are transported to from your daily lives; to this exotic & riveting destination. The energetic & subdued synths work well with the overall floating elements of the crisp vocal chops, bringing in flavour & colour to this already extraordinary work of art. A delicate piano line is used for a tender touch to lighten up this exquisite piece bringing it all to soothing & peaceful end; coaxing the lustrous Hawaiian breeze right to you.

There has been a dry spell of weather, but all of a sudden, the rain pours down & engulfs everything in sight, for however long that is. Suddenly, it's bright again & slowly the rain water is drying off, leaving this pungent & dense smell in the air, almost refreshing, as if the pores of rain that are drying are evaporating all around & you can smell it; that, that is 'Petrichor'. As refreshing as the word itself , you can feel that new & untouched feeling of everything being cleansed by the way the gorgeous melody kicks in right away alongside the subtle but strong percussion. The bell like chimes add in that authenticity, with the powerful chord work protruding through to heartfelt sounds. Almost like a rising tide, the breakdown serenades you into oblivion by the light piano lines that purge everything that is dark, leading you into the light before the full extent of the fluttering melody really launches in with the well placed vocal chops; that's when you know you've felt it & tasted it, the freedom after the rain.  

Canadian talent Martin Peter brings in his impressive musical artillery for a divine remix of 'Moku', luring you in with the slow & deep chords that spark wonder yet positivity. This beautiful remix really focuses on the sweet melodies from the original, using a great range of chord accentions & vocal  chops to enhance the smooth & delicate textures of it. It is vibrant & welcoming, really being one to warm up those blistering & fast approaching winter nights with the right blend of rhythm & melody that works strategically, again taking you away to the warm Moku air that surrounds you.

It is time for another dose of a stupendous & quality filled release here on Perplexity Music, this time coming from US based talent, Kono (USA). It's a pleasure to have him back here with another 3 track EP titled 'Moku/Petrichor' which would be a journey into the unknown but all will be explained the moment you hit play.  

The first track, 'Moku' is a delightful number to begin with as it highlights what the EP is about & the story behind its title. Perplexity Music is thrilled to deliver our next smashing release and this one is from Argentina based producer Suonare. This delectable 4 track EP is packed with some stunning sounds and quality productions which is no surprise coming from this artist. 'Opensky/The Ark' is the epitome in fusing lush melodic sounds with a more upbeat feel as you will hear and revel in!.

'Opensky' is an electrifying track that captures your senses right away with the pulsing percussions laced with the strong synth elements. The gorgeous melody line works well with the steady beat of the track which in turn provides a smooth sailing feel overall. It is jaunty and uplifting enough to set the soundtrack for any moment & a tremendous way to set the bar high for this EP.

Next up we have 'The Ark', which follows on from the first track in terms of pulsing  soundscapes, crisp percussions and various synth sounds; befitting to get the crowd going. There is a sweet break between that captures the lighter side with soft pianos melding in with the electric textures; which eventually boosts the level up and continues on with the racing, club like feel.

'Opensky' comes with 2 sublime remixes, the first from Serbia based producer, Odison. This remix captures the wonderful layers of synths from the original and forms it into a more laid back approach. It is lighter and has a more melodious vibe to it which is refreshing but still propels into pure brilliance after the soothing break. The rhythmic bass lines accent the crisp kicks, adding a nice and clear sound to the production. 

The second variation of 'OpenSky' comes from Voiceless who resides in Panama. His remix consists of his signature style of keeping it minimal, stripping back the  electronic synths and highlighting the melody in a softer fashion. It still retains that perky, on the go feel and has the addition of claps in place of lesser kicks to provide a more mellowed out vibe. A lovely rendition and change in contrast to the  original which is always much needed for those that prefer it toned down.

We hope you enjoyed this stunning EP and the dedicated work that all producers involved have taken their time in crafting.
