My father passed away over 40 year's ago when I was just nine. His legacy lives on. I wrote this song in 2018 but haven't had the courage until now to get it produced. It's obviously a very personal song, but with quite a  universal theme... This is not meant as a sad song. The white linen coast is my metaphor for Heaven... Often when heaven is depicted in movies, you see people walk along a coast line dressed in white linen.

I witnessed a friend going through a really tough patch, to the point he had lost the plot... His family saved him. It made me think how important it is to have family friends and loved ones, who you know are there for you through thick and thin.

Songwriting is engaging, enlightening and empowering to Per Ploug. In 2018 he began to express himself in song and lyrics, with themes both personal and universal and drawing on life's many experiences... folk is his main genre. A song is the sum of all its parts, the lyrics, the melody, the orchestration and production, and when those parts all gel together you may well have the basis of a great song.

Per draws inspiration from a great variety of both classic and contemporary songwriters and bands from both sides of the Atlantic, such as Gordon Lightfoot, Tracy Chapman, Genesis, Bruce Springsteen, Chris Stapleton, Jason Isbell, Robert Vincent, local heroes include Christy Moore, Emma Langford and Glen Hansard to name a few . Per is originally from Denmark, living in Ireland for over 25 years.

In February 2021 Per found courage to get one of his self-penned songs produced. With the help of Eoin Mulcahy, a part-time music producer, they produced his first ever single Won't Be Lost With You. Hope you will keep an eye out and look forward to hearing what will come next.

Per's biggest dream is to have one of his songs discovered and performed by a well known artist, or to be chosen for sync in a popular TV show or movie.
