Sailor & I are back with their latest productions for Life and Death. The two original tracks, while very different in moods, both share lush productions and a dramatic musical storytelling not often found in a typical dance release. While Boys & Girls offers a slowed-down mournful and yet beautiful nostalgic tale of childhood days gone by, Turn Around comes straight out of the gate like a racehorse on fire, flanked by strong strings and a vocal that pleads a case for love that comes straight from the heart. 

And of course rounding out the release is arguably one of the most anticipated tracks of the summer. Ever since it first started falling on people’s ears earlier this year, the Âme remix of “Turn Around” has been the high point of sets by Tale of Us, Dixon, Mano Le Tough as well as the few select others that have had their hands on it up until this point. It’s been giving goosebumps to club goers everywhere and with good reason — this is Âme at their finest, taking the song and extending it into an epic masterpiece that works wonders on a dancefloor while never losing the bewitching essence of the original.

The past 4 years have nothing short of the good, the bad, the ugly, and of course, the beautiful. Steyoyoke thanks you, our old and new fans, for the substructure of love and support upon which this label is built. We bring you ultramodern remixes of our liveliest tracks from 2015 on the latest EP, Steyoyoke Anniversary Vol. 04, to celebrate the new year, including remixes by: Philipp Kempnich, Cid Inc, Oliver Schories, MIDAS 104, and Jonas Saalbach.

Philip Kempnich remixes Aaryon and Ran Salman's 'Riptide', fundamentally shifting the patterns of sound consistently to leave you with an ever-pleased, tingly aural sensation. Cid Inc brings us his take on Nick Devon's 'The Poem' featuring Miroir, taking advantage of the earthy bass line through a complimentary arrangement. Oliver Schories faced Soul Button and BLANCAh's 'Rising Silence' turning this track into a twisted fantasy guaranteed to engulf you. MIDAS 104 approaches Animal Picnic's 'Gravity' with a bold confidence evident in the layout of this true anthem of ethereal techno, with a hint of funk! Lastly, but not leastly, Jonas Saalbach remixes Dahu and MPathy's 'Shattered' sticking to the darkness that is, while adding minimalistic elements to make this track simultaneously sink in and pop out in the most unpredictable and astounding ways.

Thank you to all our long-time fans that have loved us from the start, and to our new fans who we welcome with open arms into our family. The seventh installment of the “Picture” series is hosted by electronic music veteran Sasha Carassi. The Italian presents highly emotive Techno with nods to his adolescent 80s by implementing nostalgic organ, string or electric guitar sounds into his deep and driving productions.
Diynamic Music’s „Picture:“ series is a document in time, showcasing an artist’s current creative output in order to allow the listener to visualize and understand the artist at a certain moment. It is not an album format, but far more than merely an EP. “Picture:” is various dancefloor-oriented facettes of one producer, shaping the imagery that ultimately results in the listeners mind.

Exclusive Benjamin Fröhlich ft. Dreamcast 'Last Night (Marcus Worgull Remix)'

Nine and a half months ago Permanent Vacation co-label founder Benjamin Fröhlich released his nine tracker Amiata, music to ease your mind or to drift away on the dance floor and around. The first set of remixes for Fröhlich's album was due in summer of 2019 and featured new approaches from the likes of Massimiliano Pagliara, Panthera Krause, Cornelius Doctor, Jex Opolis and Rhode & Brown and delivered solid material for as many occasions as the original takes did. Now Pemanent Vacation respectively Benjamin Fröhlich rings in the second round of remixes for Amiata having some of the most in-demand artists of the electronic music scene on board to give his tunes a second glance, even though it's not needed at a quality level. However, Fröhlich gathered artists like Fort Romeau, Chloé, Yør Kultura, Tom Bioly alias TB and Marcus Worgull together. The latter took on remix duties for Last Night feat. vocals from Dreamcast and turns the smooth and dreamy orginal into a more forwardly going track still capturing these sentimental moments Dreamcast and Benjamin created by generating a felicitos symbiosis between vocals and chords as well pads. Marcus simply added slightly more drive to the track by focusing on a more lush bass line and implementing different yet appealing chords that go into a strongly influenced melo-direction, or in other words it adds authentic the Worgull-vibe to it.

Benjamin Fröhlich's EP 'Amiata Remixes 2' will be released on Permanent Vacation on February 21st, 2020.

Blanka Mazimela has curated the latest Africa Gets Physical album, Volume 3, which is due for release this summer, but before that come the first EP taken from it.

Cape Town's Blanka Mazimela has appeared on the label a number of times in the last couple of years. His ‘Phezulu’ track was a big tune on Get Physical that also got some standout remix treatment, helping make him one of the standout crop of African's the label has been showcasing. His upcoming compilation will be further testament to that, and is littered with superb singles like these.

SKJ features on 'Ziduli Zetafa', the opening track and one that immediately sinks you into a brilliant South African house vibe, with its earthy drums, gentle tribal chanting and lush melodies all soothing the soul. 'I Made Mistakes' calls on the vocal work of Korus and ups the ante, with a more propulsive, driving house groove. Sci-fi effects take this one into another dimension but it still has perfectly thoughtful and emotive chords underneath the heart swelling vocals. Last of all is Blanka Mazimela feat. Korus & Sobantwana with 'Gcwanini', a skipping afro beat with heart aching
vocals and melancholic chords all making a striking impact.

This is a transportive house EP full of flavour and a fine taster of the upcoming album.
