To celebrate the fact that I now have more than 10.000 followers on my Soundcloud page I wanted to create a mixtape with some of my favorite tracks of all time that I used in the 48 mixtapes I thus far created. The beauty of Global Eclipse gatherings is that they bring together spirits from all walks of life to witness the power of the universe. The Eclipse opens the hearts and minds of people within our community and my intention was to channel a piece of music that reflects the deepness and power of the human spirit. I invited Andrew Ecker from the Apache tribe, Arizona whom I was lucky enough to connect with at the Eclipse gathering via a drum circle which moved me beyond words.  Together we worked on a prayer and set an intention for the people who witnessed this eclipse and beyond, you will hear this message come through at the start of the cosmic journey.

I feel like I speak for a lot of us when I say this past year has been challenging and full of a lot of heavy changes. As the days start to get longer I feel like the light is finally starting to come back. This mix is essentially a musical representation of a lot of emotions I’ve been feeling over the past few months. I decided to not focus on technical mixing so much with this per se but was more aiming to showcase a collection of songs new and old from over the years that have helped me process and move forward. I hope this narrative of sounds resonates with whoever needs to hear it right now. Onward and upward my dudes. Happy solstice.

Coldcut start Hour 2 with Jazz from the Claus Waidtlow Quartet, before heading to Ethiopia with Gigi and back to London with The Peddlers alongside The London Philharmonic Orchestra. Then it's a reggae selection from Henry and Louis remixed by Pinch, Linval Thompson and Raggamuffin by Tappa Zukie.
We end the show with Blackjob, the latest project from Italian bassist Mannaman who has his Trashdub Ep out on Original Cultures which features remixes from Sam Binga, Danny Scrilla and T-Woc. His mix takes in soul from Sam Cooke,blues from Lightnin Hopkins, country from Johnny Cash, with him often playing along and redoing elements of the tracks and this is laced throughout with his own future dub productions.
