Love on the Rocks is very excited to present Sharif Laffrey's "Key Jam A.C.I.D.". 
His first release since the sleeper hit "Turn It Up" was released on Discos Capablanca over two years ago.

"Key Jam A.C.I.D." is The Treasure + The Mystery. Laffreys signature raw edit style is in full effect on this 9 minute proto-dance heater. 

Sharif Laffrey has been playing records and making music for 20 long hard years. Born in Detroit, Michigan - he’s worked on the line checking camshafts for Chryslers & at Submerge for Mike Banks - at the same time.

He toured Asia with Juan Atkins and once had to chase grown man through the streets at night, who had crawled into his living room through an open window.
An active member in Detroit’s early rave scene, Sharif remembers booking all foreign gigs with a fax machine - and would still do it that way, if anybody else had them anymore.
He drove a black Trans-Am from 1990 to 1995.

Acid, tons of random stuff, tough, sexy, lovely, slow. Freak Mode. He is dealing with the fame. More to come. Slowly.

These are two alternate versions of two of the more popular tracks from Pale Blue’s LP, The Past We Leave Behind. The record was a slow burn, but eventually One Last Thing became the sleeper track. It has been on playlists from the likes of Seth Troxler, Pachanga Boys and John Talabot. It seems to have become one of the more popular closing tracks this year. With that in mind, Mike decided to turn it on its head and turn it in to an opening track…

Distance To The Waves was tweaked into an acid floor filler. Simonetti uses multiple 303’s chained to add melody at the most unexpected places. We also stuck the original versions on the vinyl as well for extra pleasure.

The waterfall poured over the cliff face down to the murky pools of the jungle floor below. The water trickled slowly downstream before crashing against the rocks like some monstrous rumbling drum. Green moss hung loosely clinging to the wall, fighting the weighty presence of the water which crashed against its bearings. The jungle was awake.

Jakarta based Jonathan Kusuma delivers a new EP on Cocktail d’Amore Music. After his European debut on Cosmo Vitelli’s I’m A Cliché, followed by a successful EP on Berlin’s imprint Love On The Rocks, the Indonesian artist keeps carrying the vessel of the Far East sound.  
The title track Black Magic is a fat disco-tribal inspired groove that builds fast, eventually climaxing with a cloud of acid synths and mystical vocals. 
Japanese duo Mascaras, Chida and Cos/Mes’ 5ive, straighten up the groove giving a 4/4 beats restyling. The result is a Proto-Techno, Trance influenced soundscape, for foggy late-night dancefloors. 
Urban Sorcery is an Italo inspired maze of proto-acid synthesizers, sounding like an enchanted concrete-covered forest.                 
90’s house inspired Redvox is an experiment of cosmic influences. As the vocal becomes part of the groove, the long pads fuel this spaceship pushing it to the borders of time and space.

Carl Cox is an industry figurehead whos legacy in music includes his iconic label Intec, which he runs with friend and business partner Jon Rundell, and the new release is a techno focused EP from Eats Everything.

As his fans already know, Eats Everything is an eclectic artist who is hard to pigeon hole, and recently his chunky sound tailored for the dance floor has started to incorporate a lot more techno.

Having first broken onto the scene following EPs on labels like Dirtybird and Petz Records, he has quickly risen through the ranks adding labels like Relief, Hypercolour and Crosstown Rebels to his impressive back catalogue.

Eats Everything is a successful solo artist but many will also be familiar with collaborations working with people such as Justin Martin, Green Velvet, Tiga, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, Catz 'n Dogz and Claude VonStroke.

His first Essential Mix for Radio 1 is still widely considered one of the best, and his techno tracks and remixes have already found homes on labels including Pan-Pots Second State and Matador's Rukus.

Having already rubbed shoulders with many of electronic musics most iconic artists and arguably becoming an icon himself, its only logical that Carl Cox would be the next person to welcome Eats Everything into the fold, with this being his debut on Intec.

First on the EP is Bettah which centres around the thump of a thickset kick drum and filtered synth stabs. All about the down beat, the tracks jackin groove and rigid sound is brought to live with the energy of the soulful vocals stabs. Straight up techno with a party vibe this track is sure to set the dance floor alight.

Appropriately titled No Seatin Available the second cut on the EP makes you want to be on your feet while punching the air to the beat. Using tom drums to build a rolling groove, the tracks raw funk and dark atmosphere will have people rushing to the dance floor from all parts of the club once this gets hold

Almost one year in the making, Bulgaria’s outstanding techno talent lands his return to Drumcode with a four-track EP. 

Timmo (aka Valeri Ivanov) doesn’t do things in half measures. Since the release of his excellent ‘System’ EP last year and ‘Muzik’, his inclusion on A-Sides Vol.6, he’s committed himself to crafting, refining and polishing a quartet of cuts inspired by the cosmic realms beyond planet earth. Titled ‘Meteorite’, its release marks 10 years since he first began producing and stakes its claim as a resounding career highlight with tracks already highlighting gigs for Adam Beyer at Tobacco Dock, Awakenings, Future Kappa Festival and Junction 2.

Beginning with the title track, the streamlined work throbs with a searing synthetic pulse. ‘Black Moon’ sees the EP land its first blow, kicking with a mixture of undulating synths and understated hoovers. ‘Spacetime’ stays true to its name delivering intergalactic techno vibes. ‘Cosmos’ concludes the work, taking us into extra-terrestrial dancefloor territory, with a barrage of trippy synth work and a melodic underbelly the makes the track both beautiful and heavy-hitting in equal measure.

Originally from Kochi prefecture, now residing in Tokyo. He started organizing his own nights in 2011 where he honed his dj skills. Playing anything from classic to cutting-edge tracks, his smooth mixing brings a unique tension and intonation to the ﬂoor through individualistic loops. By gaining his reputation through his dj sets and an insatiable pursuit of the techno scene led him to play regularly in Osaka as well as various venues in mid and West Japan. As an organizer he has brought over many prevalent modern techno artists such as Claudio PRC, Ness, Luigi Tozzi and Refracted, in order to evolve the techno scene in Japan. In 2014 he moved to Tokyo where he linked up with his main partner Kannabi to start the techno party Katharsis. In recent years his music production skills have ﬂourished, hence, set up the label Katharsis Recordings. The ﬁrst release is sprit 12 from the Label founder Masafumi Take and Kannabi. Also include Iori and Takaaki Itoh remix. He is recognized as the next generation to take up the techno mantle in Japan.

Interflug's tracks have a very classic 90ies acid touch combined with contemporary and state of the art acid techno productions.

4200 kicks off the release with intense energy and sets the tone and pace of it. Nested layered and delayed percussions create this special groove which rides on top of the heavy bass line which sucks you simply deep inside. There is no way out.

The More Acid mix creates memories of the Blade theme song from Pump Panel/New Order, where the blood starts raining inside the club - heavy acid mix driving fast forward minus the blood.

Following Fragements is even able to step up the game in terms of variation and song structure ... a real journey into and through sound, designed for the peak time crowd to go zero to hero and back again. Twice. Absolute freak show - but in a stunning way.

Time to come down again after the steep flight towards the climax. Time for Burnin Slow. Perfectly crafted to escape the madness and to come out here alive ... deep acid territories are reached here, time to breath baby. Superb closing of this adventure.
