Melrose XX is a musical project founded in 2022 by Graphic and Political artist Darren B. Maxwell. Melrose XX as a name is meant to represent a town in Scotland, Melrose. The XX was to add individuality and express the bereavement and emotionality that defines Melrose XX’s style. Melrose XX was originally founded in Arlington, TX. Melrose XX as a musical experience could be defined as indie Electronica with influences of New Wave, Post-Punk, and Rock.
