The 41st release on Clubsonica Records welcomes Matan Caspi to the label for his debut single. The Israeli artist has been a mainstay of the electronic music underground for more than a decade. Releases on Global Underground, Deeperfect, Movement Recordings and Spinnin highlight his discography. More recently Matan has been dominating Beatport's Progressive House charts with a string of outings on his Outta Limits imprints. Now stepping up for his Clubsonica debut Matan presents his latest single ‘Crosswinds' alongside remixes from Kamilo Sanclemente & Juan Pablo Torrez, Paul Kardos and LoQuai.

Having been nominated for Progressive House artist of the year by Beatport has only fuelled Matan's creative fire. Never one to rest on his laurels the Israeli unleashes one of his all time best works in ‘Crosswinds'. Beginning with warm swells and vocal overlays the framework gets filled in with chunky bass stabs and vibrant percussion. The narrative shifts with the introduction of a full vocal, carrying the composition further into emotive waters. Intertwined with a cascading lead theme it's a magical pairing, making for what might be Matan's most emotionally gripping creation date.

The first interpretation of ‘Crosswinds' is provided by Kamilo Sanclemente & Juan Pablo Torrez. This is a first time collaboration from the Colombian duo for Clubsonica who have both enjoyed immense success in their solo careers. Now a staple of Beatport's progressive house charts Kamilo has grown into one of Colombia's biggest artists, while Clubsonica label boss Juan Pablo Torrez has become a regular in the sets of Hernan Cattaneo. With both having their pulse on the heart of the genre this first time collaboration for Clubsonica has been much anticipated and delivers in a major way. Clocking in at ten minutes it's an expansive journey which expands the consciousness of the original. From its rippling, rib crushing groove to a collage of astral motifs it's a compelling first act, perfectly setting up a cavernous break. Building to an effervescent boil, before melting down to vocal fragments and sonic artefacts, it's a two minute interlude for the ages, foreshadowing the cosmic finale perfectly.

Rising out of Hungary's hotbed of progressive house talent is Paul Kardos. No stranger to Clubsonica, having just released his excellent ‘Main Theme' single, the Hernan Cattaneo favourite now returns to remix ‘Crosswinds'. Putting his pure progressive touch on the composition, the Hungarian utilizes the vocal motif perfectly, drifting above a warm, chuggy foundation and layers of hypnotic refrains. Growling stabs add drama to the emotive tapestry, eventually breaking down into a trail of vocal effects and bulbous bass tones. Its meditative qualities set the stage for a smooth energy bridge, bringing an understated yet poignant rush into the hypnotic finale. 

The release concludes with LoQuai making his debut on the label. There are few in the progressive house underground with a longer and more extensive discography than the Russian born, German based artist. His decade long career has cemented his place in the genres history. Known for his groovy productions Loquai opts for a smooth, exhilarating approach, highlighting the vocal and lead theme in a more indistinct way, as it melds perfectly with the flowing atmospheres and tonal changes. A lovely remix from Loquai which rounds out what would have to be considered one of Clubsonica's most sought after releases to date.

Dee Montero is next up on the ever reliant music tastemakers that are Do Not Sit On The Furniture Recordings. 

Montero is a UK artist with an international profile. He is a former resident at Cafe Mambo for eight years and has some serious skills in the DJ booth. His productions skills are renowned and revered too, with recent releases on the likes of Lee Burridge's Tale & Tones, Hot Since 82's Knee Deep In Sound, and Solomun's Diynamic, where his 'Halcyon' track spent 5 weeks at #1 on Beatport, and was Pete Tong's #1 Track of 2017. Here he goes deep and emotional on his four latest and great tracks. 

Chakra opens up with spine tingling xylophones dancing over rubbery, rolling grooves. It's a late night cut with a real sense of musical spirit that burrows deep into your brain. Ventura then picks up the pace but stays just as seductive, with supple kicks and more busy but enchanting new age melodies floating up top next to draped piano chords that are full of feeling. Bahia then traps you in a trance, with more sustained pads and chanting vocals that are utterly uplifting. It's a magical cut once more. Last of all, Samsara is another hands in the air, lighters out kind of tune with dreamy pads and superbly crafted melodies that are soft and shiver inducing. 

This really is a classy house EP from one of the best labels in the game.

Now fresh off an EP for AMITABHA to begin the year, Sebastian debuts on Or Two Strangers alongside remixes from Simply City and Golan Zocher. 

The first interpretation of ‘Epiphany In The Woods'’ is provided by Simply City who is making his label debut. Hailing from Chile but now based in Montreal, Cesar Romero aka Simply City has become a fixture in the city’s burgeoning nightlife, earning a spot as one of Stereo’s resident DJs. On the production front he lays claim to releases on Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat Music and Nick Warren’s Hope Recordings.

Presenting his first project of 2019, Cid Inc. returns to Replug Records with 'Via Karelia'. 2018 saw the Finnish artist release two of progressive music's most widely acclaimed and sought after EP's in 'Bird Cherry' and 'Abyss'. The two track offerings yielded play and support from his most revered contemporaries, namely Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren and Guy J. Resounding chart success followed, with the title selections respectively reaching #1 and #2 in the Beatport Progressive House Top 100 tracks. Now after months of road testing and refinement, Cid Inc. unveils his much anticipated 'Via Karelia' EP to kick off 2019.

With over a decade of production credits under his Cid Inc. moniker, Replug label boss Henri Hurtig has continued to flourish. Sitting in the upper echelon of progressive music's elite, the Finnish producer continues his story with 'Via Karelia'. Following a prelude of warm beats, hip swinging percussion and electric stabs, comes redolent rhythms and  juxtaposed motifs. Tastefully timeless and evolving with an energetic flair, it's a melodic theme which shifts the narrative further into euphoric territory. Free flowing harmonics add depth and emotion, coming to full fruition during the main break and elegantly peaking for a spirited final act.

Rounding out the release in fine fashion are the dreamy tech-vibes of 'Turning Pages'. Always looking at dance music through an original lens, Darin Epsilon's ground-breaking label now introduces a new series. Designed to showcase the wealth of global talent within the underground fraternity, "Perspectives Around the World, Vol. 1" presents a quartet of new tracks from renowned artists across North America, South America, Europe, and Australia.

Austin Leeds has been involved in the upper echelons of dance music for 20 years. A rare talent, appearances on Bedrock thrust the Miami-based producer into the limelight before going on to feature on the likes of Vandit, Spinnin, and Black Hole. Joining forces with Danko Skystone on the wonderfully crafted "Day Break", the Australian is a renowned producer and audio engineer who has seen his music supported by a cast list that includes Hernan Cattaneo, Max Graham, D-Nox and Beckers, Dubfire, Paul van Dyk, Markus Schulz, Sandra Collins, and Epsilon himself. Characterized by an intricate groove and deep house sensibilities, a chest-thumping beat and cavernous bassline lay the foundations for a coruscating flute melody to flow across the 8 minute track. Shimmering in freeform glory and making its mark in the stripped back breakdown, the cleverly woven track extols the considerable virtues of the Austin Leeds and Danko Skystone production houses.

Long-term collaborator with fellow countryman Deep Fog, Krzysztof Kupczakiewicz has also found solo success through his Cream (PL) production moniker. A resident DJ across the clubs of his Jaroslaw hometown, the Polish national has found himself at the vanguard of the underground dance movement with his trademark sound finding its way on to the likes of JOOF, Particles, and Stellar Fountain. With a distinctive and rich sound in "Gaia" that bears all the hallmarks of a Cream (PL) track, organic textures and reverb-laden percussion are the perfect foundation for a swathe of filtered analog synths to glide enticingly through the mix with white noise washes in tow. A huge bassline adds depth in abundance and a subtly placed arpeggio brings forward a new emotive edge post-breakdown.

Beginning his production career with the "Cosmos EP" on Markus Schulz's Coldharbour Recordings, Danilo Ercole's rise to prominence has been swift and noteworthy. DJ performances across his native Brazil alongside Aly and Fila, Cosmic Gate, and Paul Oakenfold further cemented a growing reputation, as has music signed to Armada and Black Hole. An angular hypnotic cadence finds Danilo Ercole facing "North" at the outset. Before long a strong beat takes its place alongside the fascinating rhythm and a gloriously programmed arpeggio rises to prominence through the opening sections. Reaching a rousing crescendo at the midpoint, it then combines with the mesmeric sonic palette to explosive effect in the later stages.

A Perspectives Digital regular with a compelling blend of rhythm and melody on original and remix production material, Paul Kardos has grown in stature with every release. Work with Epsilon saw immediate chart success as has high-profile work for Clubsonica, OLD SQL, and Hope Recordings – the latter with Alex Orion on April 2019's "Control / Timeless" EP for the Nick Warren led imprint. "Miraculously" finds Paul Kardos carrying on where he left off with a squelching, popping percussive top line that provides the perfect framework for a rich and smooth array of pads to wend a willowy path across the first half. A new glassy chord makes an appearance midway to add texture and beauty to the chunky background groove and Kardos' skill is to juxtapose disparate elements that coalesce within a joyous whole.

A debut representing Mango Alley's annual homage to Amsterdam, Lucas Grain returns to fill the spaces "Between Us". Perspectives Digital is a record label for Melodic House & Techno, Progressive House, and Deep House.  Based out of Berlin and Los Angeles, it was started in 2010 by Darin Epsilon, and is the imprint of his popular radio show of the same name.  Perspectives has been named by Beatport as "one of North America’s leading labels" and releases from the label are continually found within Beatport’s Top 5 releases.

Perspectives is involved with various projects that contribute to its success.  Music licensing, live events, and remix competitions have assisted in growing the label and expanding its fanbase.  Record label showcases are organized and held during the world-renowned events such as Amsterdam Dance Event and Miami Winter Music Conference.

In 2015, Perspectives Digital partnered with Beatport Play to organize a remix competition for "Outliers" by Darin Epsilon and Cid Inc.  The competition proved a major success with over 250 submissions.  Michael & Levan and Stiven Rivic vs. Rick Pier O’Neil were named the Grand Prize winners with Subandrio, SummerMarian, and Solid Stone as the runners-up.  The Community Pick winner was awarded to Las Vegas based producer Nathan Clement.

Perspectives teamed up with Sonic Academy in June 2017 for a remix competition of Darin Epsilon's "One Thousand and One Nights".  Epsilon provided Sonic Academy detailed videos explaining how the track was made, later giving the contestants an opportunity to download the project file and stems.  Even though this was the first time any website created a tutorial dedicated to producing classic Progressive House, Sonic Academy received a record number of submissions with Paul Kardos, Ejaz Ahamed, and Magnetic Brothers being named the winners.
