"As the New Year appears, 2022 sees fresh music come into focus as Meanwhile Horizons welcomes Chris Zippel to the roster and his “Noosphere / Ombra” EP.
 
An iconic artist with a host of impressive production credentials to his name, Chris Zippel, has been at the vanguard of electronic music since the age of 15. His portfolio thus sees music writing credits for the Pet Shop Boys, Robbie Williams, Norah Jones and Paul Van Dyk in a long and illustrious career. Splitting his time between his Berlin hometown and the party island of Ibiza, Zippel also has a raft of solo production credits to his name, dating back to a debut for Organic Records in early 2001. Since then, a cornucopia of underground electronic music has found its way onto the likes of Elektrolux, Parasol Phonotheque, Ubersee Music and Allisum Records.
 
Now debuting on GMJ and Matter’s sister imprint, Chris Zippel opens with the spellbinding “Noosphere”. Anchored upon a thumping beat and ticking hi-hat percussion, a rolling groove is the perfect bedrock for a hypnotic analogue bassline to propel the track forwards, accompanied by a smooth arpeggio and sympathetic melodic phrasing. The result is a rare and emotive combination that arouses hairs on the back of the neck as “Noosphere” builds in unrelenting fashion to a rousing dénouement in the second half.
 
Continuing the rich melodic building blocks of its partner track, “Ombra” is a slightly more relaxed affair with its beautifully sculpted analogue envelopes that simultaneously harness the spirit of Jean Michel Jarre, Vangelis and Georgio Moroder. A gloriously filtered arpeggio meanders across proceedings as white noise crashes and ethereal chord sequences paint a vivid sonic picture, gradually revealing itself across an 8-minute timeframe, atop a sumptuous undulating groove.
 
Out of the shadows, Chris Zippel is able to harness a sublime musical evolution, illustrated by his “Noosphere / Ombra” EP."

I personally didn’t agree with a lot of Charlie Kirk’s opinions, but he had a good heart and cared to share the truth, which at the end he did start seeing and sharing it, the truth about wars, the truth about Israel’s genocide in Gaza.

The 36th release on Darin Epsilon’s Perspectives Digital is a special collaboration between legendary producer Lexicon Avenue, Andrew Best, and vocalist Slim Wall.  Perhaps best known for his Depeche Mode 'Only When I Lose Myself' interpretation, Chris Scott of Lexicon Avenue has been on the cutting edge of electronic music for over 10 years.  He boasts a discography which includes releases on Audio Therapy, Hooj Choons, Ministry of Sound, Mute, Renaissance, and Yoshitoshi.  UK producer Andrew Best spent many years collaborating with Lexicon Avenue and Mic Burns of Blue Haze fame before beginning a successful solo endeavor in 2013.

The first interpretation of 'Slide' is provided by Lithuanian producer Kastis Torrau. As one of the country’s foremost talents and winner of Sasha’s Burn Studios remix competition, Kastis continues to be one of the underground's most in demand artists.  His 'Slide' interpretation is sure to be a standout in his discography with its energetic, club friendly vibe leading the charge.  Anchored by tough, syncopated beats and a smooth harmonic groove, it builds effortlessly with Slim Wall's lush vocals adding an elegant touch along the way.  A well crafted breakdown adds dramatic tension, furthering the sonic scope before a rush of crystalline noise washes the atmosphere away for a tasteful drop.

Legendary Glenn Morrison joins forces again with Dave Ohms to bring the amazing melodic single ‘Outer Limits’ to Timeless Moment. 

Glenn Morrison is a huge name in the history of Progressive House, being  one of the names in lasts decades generation that inspired many of today’s superstar producers,  releasing timeless anthems like Contact, No Sudden Moves, Hydrology, just naming a few. We couldn’t be more honored to receive this single that was first released on ‘Timeless Moment Vol.01’. 

Now ‘Outer Limits’ gets exclusively remixed by two of the most prominent names on the Progressive and melodic Techno scene: Kastis Torrau and Rauschhaus.   

Lithuanian superstar Kastis Torrau brings to ‘Outer Limits’ his trademark progressive groove that was first made worldwide famous when he won Sasha’s Last Night on Earth Remix competition back in 2011.  Kastis Later followed with a collab with Sasha and releases on labels such as Hope Recordings and Click Recordings to become one stable top seller in the Progressive House scene.   

German rising star Rauschhaus brings his superb melodic touch that was made famous on labels such as Steyoyoke and Parquet Recordings, to ‘Outer Limits’. He adds amazing new synths and textures to the original, with extra detailed percussion work and a heavy based grooves, making a perfect version for both the the dance floors and for casual listening.

The mighty Ejeca reveals his latest EP on Sasha’s Last Night On Earth. Hot off the heels of his chart-topping single ‘Ekstac’, the Belfast born groovemonger delivers yet again with this thought-provoking four-track EP.

Kicking off with ‘Everglade’, where slow-building arpeggios set the pace for a dramatic combination of fluid sounds that bud and flower into a momentous dancefloor moment. Eastern flutes echo over rich synth chords and intricate drum patterns in a minimalistic yet awe-inspiring opening track.

The heavyweight kicks of ‘Your Mind’ deliver the damage from the offset. Here Ejeca fuses in a heavily edited vocal line across a perplexing synth line and the two blend over the rhythms in a twist of blissful elation.

‘Artemis’ channels true techno ideals throughout its five-minute lifeline. The racing 808 hats and pounding toms roll across a vast chasm that paves the perfect path for the steadily building synth lines that drift in over the top.

In 2015, Perspectives Digital partnered with Beatport Play to organize a remix competition for "Outliers" by Darin Epsilon and Cid Inc.  The competition proved a major success with over 250 submissions.  Michael & Levan and Stiven Rivic vs. Rick Pier O’Neil were named the Grand Prize winners with Subandrio, SummerMarian, and Solid Stone as the runners-up.  The Community Pick winner was awarded to Las Vegas based producer Nathan Clement.

Perspectives teamed up with Sonic Academy in June 2017 for a remix competition of Darin Epsilon's "One Thousand and One Nights".  Epsilon provided Sonic Academy detailed videos explaining how the track was made, later giving the contestants an opportunity to download the project file and stems.  Even though this was the first time any website created a tutorial dedicated to producing classic Progressive House, Sonic Academy received a record number of submissions with Paul Kardos, Ejaz Ahamed, and Magnetic Brothers being named the winners.
