The Creature Comfort from Manchester play impassioned music for troubled times, mixing alternative rock with post-punk energy and an epic dimension. Blending might and melody, their sonic onslaught powers a visceral soundtrack for an uncertain future.

They have received airplay on BBC 6 Music, BBC Radio London, Radio X and Amazing Radio, headlined Head For The Hills Festival, and caught the attention of Iggy Pop, Badly Drawn Boy and The Blinders amongst others.

The band was formed by singer Ben Le Jeune after his arrival in Manchester from Belgium in 1987, and they soon built up a cult following, sharing stage with Mudhoney, Gun Club & Stereolab amongst others and generating major label frenzy. A long hiatus ended in 2013 with a new line-up, a critically acclaimed self-titled album and regular live appearances. 

In 2021 the album "Everything Is Hidden" was released, featuring the singles "Alone By Your Side" ('one of the catchiest songs of the year' according to Sounds Good), "Life's A Crime", "What We Want (Power Corruption & Lies)" and "Highway 7".

A new album due out in Spring 2025 has been recorded with producer Tim Thomas (One Direction, The Fall, Paul Heaton). A series of singles leading up to this date will be released throughout 2024 along with live dates to be announced.

The Creature Comfort are Ben Le Jeune on vocals, Steve Jones and Paul Hesketh on guitars, Martyn Henderson on keys, Brad Ingham on bass and Will Jaquet on drums.

Tout commence par l’indéfectible complicité de deux amis et leur passion mutuelle pour la musique, Igor Stanislas et Emmanuel McManus qui, avec le temps ont construit leur projet sonique entre Londres et Paris.
Ainsi marqué, des textes sont alors venu se greffer sur leur musique par leurs amie Londonienne Claire Gristwood.
L’alchimie fonctionnant on dira que l’esthétique est un cocktail assumé de  rock (60’s,70’s) ou s’invite un son résolument emprunt de modernité associé à quelques arrangements symphoniques et électronique.
La voix profonde d’Igor Stanislas et les riffs tantôt puissants des guitares, tantôt fragiles de mandoline de Emanuel McManus combinés aux fondations rythmiques généreuses et inventives de Joe aux futs et de Sylvain Herrera a la basse aboutissent à produire un rock à la fois puissant, sophistiqué et universel.
