My special guest week this week is Jasmin, aka JAY-KAY, a relative newcomer to the world of DJing who has a real passion and talent. She has been a music addict and vinyl collector since her early teens, but recently took to the decks, mentored by her fiancée and fellow music lover, DJ BK.

I'm delighted to welcome Chris Clark aka DJ Clarkson to the show this week. He runs the hugely popular DiscNoTeque party night with his partner Sarah, and also produces his own music, with his recent release on Tropical Disco storming the Traxsource charts. Clarkson is a Disco / Nu-Disco DJ and producer inspired by the sounds of Motown and the disco greats. Born in Essex, England, Clarkson was brought up listening to his grandparents selection of Motown and Disco vinyls Clarkson developed a love strings and horns which feature across his music selection.

Co-Founder of DiscNoTheque events hosting Disco events across London, Hertfordshire & Essex which are look set to have huge 2023 with the newly announced monthly residency in Shoreditch, London.
Radio DJ, club and festival performer there isn't much Clarkson hasn't done when it comes to the music scene.

Episode 134: Feel Good Friday Radio Show (feat Clarkson)

The Black Light Disco Show was marauding with intent once again onto the myhouseradio.fm airwaves for another fizzy 5 spice bath-bomb of a show for your collective lug holes. 

This week, we have the one and only Cole Kutz on hosting duties for the first hour of the show. Yes, in a show of commitment, we’ve bestowed Cole with the spare keys to BLD Towers and given him his own sock and underwear drawer in the 50th floor Panoramic Bedroom Suite. Cole will be earning his BLD motif smoking jacket with a set packed with oomph and oooft!  

Joining Cole as our special guest this week is a man who has been around the block a few times (and knocked on every door) - Wilson Frisk! Mr Frisk (aka Craig) is the sole proprietor of the excellent ‘Housebound’ radio show’ airing on Peoples City Radio (PCR). Hailing from Bradford, Yorkshire in the north of England, Wilson started his journey collecting music as a young buck and over the years has carved out quite the CV. Boasting residencies in Bradford, Leeds and Huddersfield in the mid-1990s, he has progressed into music production as one half of ‘The Krate Diggaz’. He is renowned for his smooth mixing style encompassing all genres of House music but always keeping it soulful and funky.

I've been busy digging away in my digital and vinyl crates to pull together the first episode, which broadcasted on NDC Radio, 9-11pm Friday 31st March 2023.

Criss-crossing the boundaries of house, disco, nu disco, global grooves and beyond… selections include newer, up-front cuts, forgotten gems and rarities, b-sides, and the odd well-placed classic.

Each month it’ll be a new 2 hour mix with minimal level of chat...just quality, underground music!

Prisma Deer is a dj and producer from Costa Rica. His musical taste revolves around the genres of House, Deep House, Jackin House, Funk, Disco, Nu Disco and Indie Dance. He has been a dj for several years and played in most known clubs in Costa Rica. He is founder of Cross Fade Records and host of a weekly radio show in Amplify 95.5 FM. My co-host Greg took the controls this week and delivered a lovely first-hour mix of brand new jams and sizzling oldies - starting laid back and building the tempo throughout

Ep 203: Feel Good Friday Show (Greg Middleton And Paul Mulholland)

London-based DJ and producer Pete Ellison has been spinning music for 25 years and has a passion for funk and disco, blending sounds of the 70s with house beats, vocal samples and chunky basslines.

He broadcasts a weekly show on NDC Radio called the "Feel Good Friday Show", with a special guest each week from the Nu-Disco world. The show won the award of "Best Radio Show" at the OGV Music Awards in 2022. 

He's had releases on Super Spicy Records, Discoholics Anonymous, Mango Sounds, Spa In Disco and Hot Digits. Two of his tracks have hit the Number 1 spot on Juno Download.  

He runs a London DJ collective called Serendipity who throw underground events and boat parties. He has played at dozens of London clubs,  and has played at festivals, boat parties, woodland raves, Ibiza pool parties and even the dungeon of a French chateau. Long DJ sets are a speciality, with his longest ever DJ performance being an epic 8-hour set.


Pete is also part of The Disco Waltons, a group of International DJs and Disco Lovers who came together during lockdown through their love of music. They host a Sunday night show on NDC Radio, playing on rotation with special guests

As well as Funk, Soul and Disco, he plays Melodic Techno, House and Progressive House

With 30 years’ experience behind the decks - spinning uplifting House, Disco, Edits and more - London-based Greg Middleton is a versatile DJ, from warming things up with laid-back grooves to closing out a night with peak-time floor-fillers. Greg’s sets are fun and nostalgic, yet sophisticated and unpredictable, with rock solid vocals, funky and soulful grooves, layers of organic percussion, and hints of classic house - a nod to his musical roots.

Greg began collecting records and learning the DJ ropes in the early 90s, introducing himself to the club scene spinning House at various nights across the Midlands before moving onto playing at famous London clubs such as SW1 and The Cross.

Over the following decade, Greg broadened his style, heavily influenced the emerging Edits scene championed by the likes of Greg Wilson, Late Nite Tuff Guy and Dr Packer. He then held a three-year residency at the Big Chill Bar (one of London’s long-established venues), where he further honed his skills, reading the crowd and building the tempo while spinning long, genre-hopping sets.

Starting his own regular club night called Borderline in 2018, Greg brought his funky, party vibe to a packed-out, intimate venue in South-West London. When the pandemic hit, Greg took Borderline to the virtual airwaves, doing live streams every Saturday night during the lockdowns, with lively chatrooms and a growing following. The club nights returned with a bang in March 2022, and are going from strength to strength.

As a member of the “Disco Waltons” family, a group of DJs, producers and enthusiasts with a fast-growing reputation, he is currently co-producing the weekly Disco Waltons Sunday Service show on NDC Radio, with guests such as Michael Gray, Richard Earnshaw, Mark Brickman, Jamiroquai's Derrick McKenzie and Greg Wilson.

Greg is also co-host of Pete Ellison's award-winning radio show the Feel Good Friday Show, currently airing weekly on NDC Radio.
