Co-host of Pete Ellison's Feel Good Friday Radio Show

My co-host @gregmiddleton was back in the hotseat this week - throwing down some new jams and a couple from the crates in the first hour, before handing over to his special guest, fellow London-based DJ, Ian Perry. @dj-ian-perry

Ian has been DJing for over 20 years across many venues in London, with a huge passion for Disco, House and everything in between. He is well-known for being part of DJ duo DeepNDisco, with his long time friend, Nick Standen, beginning with a residency in 2016 at established Croydon night, Funkme. For the last 4 years they have been regulars at Up On the Roof at Brixton’s iconic Prince of Wales, playing alongside many of the scene’s biggest names including Dave Lee, Norman Jay MBE, Dimitri from Paris, Shapeshifters, Crazy P, Cj Macintosh and many more, while also co-hosting over 100 episodes of their fortnightly radio show on d3ep Radio network.

Heading their separate ways, Ian has been doing solo gigs, such as supporting Michael Gray at his new Sultra event, and has launched a very popular series of mixes on his Soundcloud page. We’re delighted to have Ian on the show, and we're sure you’re going to love his guest mix… it’s full of energy and a real mix across the house genres.

Bearded Lounge Sunday Sessions Mix #17 by Iry Sabir 221023

My co-host Greg was back in the driving seat for his monthly outing on the show, and he used the first hour of the show to showcase some of his favourite new jams around at the moment, plus one or two older goodies he found while digging around his digital crates.

In hour two, he welcomed his special guests and good friends James Caldecott and John Orton aka Late Night Disco. Their mix was recorded live at the highly regarded The Disco Express night at 25 Paul St, London - loads of feel-good jams, original disco and rare groove, a few reworks and an amusing amount of early Wham (which I'm told is due to John recently watching the Wham doc on Netflix)! :)

Ep172: Feel Good Friday Show (Greg Middleton & Late Night Disco)

Anybody who has followed me over these past few years will know that Michael Gray’s original production’s and remixes feature heavily in my sets. Everything he touches turns to gold and I look forward to every one of his releases. I have followed Michael’s career for almost 30 years now and decided it’s definitely time I paid tribute to his masterful work. I wanted to create a compilation combining old with new, mixing some of my favourite tracks from his early days as his aliases Robot man and Full Intention with music partner Jon Pearn such as Ready For This, Tears, So In Love With You, I Love America and Sweetest Day Of May with some of his latest releases like his excellent remixes of Reel People - Can’t Stop, The Sgt. Slick version of the Adeva classic - I Thank You and Donna Allen’s - Serious as well his his latest releases on his own Sultra Record Label like Invincible and the fantastic Promo version of his latest release - Never Let You Down. I wanted this tribute to feature tracks that I haven’t previously used in any of my sets already available on Soundcloud, the few tracks that have already featured, on this one I have played the equally as good Dub versions. The set has 32 amazing tracks, 5 of which are as of yet Unreleased DJ Only remixes. I really hope everyone enjoys listening to this mix as much as I have compiling and recording it. I would also like to say a huge thank you to the main man himself Michael Gray for all of his fantastic hard work over these past decades for giving us all this wonderful music, I Can’t wait to see what you produce in the future !!

On December 2nd 2023 hubby @dj-bk-du and I went live on NDC Radio for the first time with "The Couple Show". This show is a completely new experience for us, as we have always pre-recorded our radio shows and have never had a show together before. 

Broadcasting live is a next level experience, you work with completely different standards. The fact that we are still quite new in this area can be heard here and there in our show. We had a few technical problems at the beginning, had to get used to the microphone level and so on. 

Despite everything, we had a lot of fun recording this show and are already looking forward to going live again on the 16th of December. Maybe you'll be there too? 

You will be able to hear us every 2 weeks on NDC Radio in a 2 hour show, starts from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. (GMT) / 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. (CET). Our music themes range from Balearic, to Yacht Rock, Disco/NuDisco to funky, jazzy and soulful House.

My co-host Greg Middleton took the controls for episode 176 and he welcomed special guest from France, Jean-Marie aka Vibes4YourSoul.

Vibes4YourSoul (aka V4YS) is a French DJ and producer, part of collectives/labels Partyfine (Paris/Reims) & Too Slow To Disco (Berlin).

His eclectic musical world blends the Jazz/Disco/Funk roots, to colourful Afro-Brazilian vibes, as well as contemporary House/Electro and indie sounds. As a DJ, he's shaking these influences together to create a funky conundrum where styles and times matter less than the groove thread between them.

As a producer, he frequently adds his groovy touch to old gems through edits and remixes, either self-released on his busy Soundcloud page, or on vinyl/digital for reference labels like Too Slow To Disco, Partyfine, Hot Digits, Act Of Sedition...He also occasionally releases official remixes for contemporary pop/electro bands (L'Impératrice, Poolside or Plano...).

BLD 1st Jan 2024 With Pookie Knights

London-based DJ and producer Pete Ellison has been spinning music for 25 years and has a passion for funk and disco, blending sounds of the 70s with house beats, vocal samples and chunky basslines.

He broadcasts a weekly show on NDC Radio called the "Feel Good Friday Show", with a special guest each week from the Nu-Disco world. The show won the award of "Best Radio Show" at the OGV Music Awards in 2022. 

He's had releases on Super Spicy Records, Discoholics Anonymous, Mango Sounds, Spa In Disco and Hot Digits. Two of his tracks have hit the Number 1 spot on Juno Download.  

He runs a London DJ collective called Serendipity who throw underground events and boat parties. He has played at dozens of London clubs,  and has played at festivals, boat parties, woodland raves, Ibiza pool parties and even the dungeon of a French chateau. Long DJ sets are a speciality, with his longest ever DJ performance being an epic 8-hour set.


Pete is also part of The Disco Waltons, a group of International DJs and Disco Lovers who came together during lockdown through their love of music. They host a Sunday night show on NDC Radio, playing on rotation with special guests

As well as Funk, Soul and Disco, he plays Melodic Techno, House and Progressive House

With 30 years’ experience behind the decks - spinning uplifting House, Disco, Edits and more - London-based Greg Middleton is a versatile DJ, from warming things up with laid-back grooves to closing out a night with peak-time floor-fillers. Greg’s sets are fun and nostalgic, yet sophisticated and unpredictable, with rock solid vocals, funky and soulful grooves, layers of organic percussion, and hints of classic house - a nod to his musical roots.

Greg began collecting records and learning the DJ ropes in the early 90s, introducing himself to the club scene spinning House at various nights across the Midlands before moving onto playing at famous London clubs such as SW1 and The Cross.

Over the following decade, Greg broadened his style, heavily influenced the emerging Edits scene championed by the likes of Greg Wilson, Late Nite Tuff Guy and Dr Packer. He then held a three-year residency at the Big Chill Bar (one of London’s long-established venues), where he further honed his skills, reading the crowd and building the tempo while spinning long, genre-hopping sets.

Starting his own regular club night called Borderline in 2018, Greg brought his funky, party vibe to a packed-out, intimate venue in South-West London. When the pandemic hit, Greg took Borderline to the virtual airwaves, doing live streams every Saturday night during the lockdowns, with lively chatrooms and a growing following. The club nights returned with a bang in March 2022, and are going from strength to strength.

As a member of the “Disco Waltons” family, a group of DJs, producers and enthusiasts with a fast-growing reputation, he is currently co-producing the weekly Disco Waltons Sunday Service show on NDC Radio, with guests such as Michael Gray, Richard Earnshaw, Mark Brickman, Jamiroquai's Derrick McKenzie and Greg Wilson.

Greg is also co-host of Pete Ellison's award-winning radio show the Feel Good Friday Show, currently airing weekly on NDC Radio.
