This show was hosted by Paul Rowe, who broadcasts the weekly "Funky Disco" show on NDC Radio. He only plays vinyl, which you would never know because his mixing is so smooth (and he never mentions it!). His first hour is upbeat and uplifting, packed with anthems and lovely disco house.  

For the second hour, Even Funkier takes over, living up to his name and delivering one of the funkiest sets we've ever heard him play. He broadcasts his own show called "Funkier Sessions" on a Monday night on NDC, and dives into a whole realm of different genres and funky flavours

My co-host @gregmiddleton was on hosting duties for this show, bringing another selection of new releases and forgotten gems. His welcomed his special guest Sister Sesh, from Cardiff in Wales!

DJ Sister Sesh lives and breathes music and is a multi genre DJ who plays all things House, Disco, & Garage. 

Relatively new to the Cardiff scene.... she has quickly become a firm favourite as a resident for Local night Shake The Horse, playing local venues such as Paradise Garden and night club District playing along side Darius Syrossian, as well as becoming established on the festival circuit playing Glastonbury & Big Love.  Above all, Sister Sesh always brings the party!

Top 24 of 2024 - Funky, Soulful, Disco & Jackin House

London-based DJ and producer Pete Ellison has been spinning music for 25 years and has a passion for funk and disco, blending sounds of the 70s with house beats, vocal samples and chunky basslines.

He broadcasts a weekly show on NDC Radio called the "Feel Good Friday Show", with a special guest each week from the Nu-Disco world. The show won the award of "Best Radio Show" at the OGV Music Awards in 2022. 

He's had releases on Super Spicy Records, Discoholics Anonymous, Mango Sounds, Spa In Disco and Hot Digits. Two of his tracks have hit the Number 1 spot on Juno Download.  

He runs a London DJ collective called Serendipity who throw underground events and boat parties. He has played at dozens of London clubs,  and has played at festivals, boat parties, woodland raves, Ibiza pool parties and even the dungeon of a French chateau. Long DJ sets are a speciality, with his longest ever DJ performance being an epic 8-hour set.


Pete is also part of The Disco Waltons, a group of International DJs and Disco Lovers who came together during lockdown through their love of music. They host a Sunday night show on NDC Radio, playing on rotation with special guests

As well as Funk, Soul and Disco, he plays Melodic Techno, House and Progressive House
