This week’s show was an 80s special where I teamed up with my friend Max Galactic to unleash two hours of nostalgia and good time grooves from a fabulous era of music.

My special guest Max is a serious talent who brings passion and joy to his sets, and the best way to introduce him is to simply share the DJ profile from his social media, which is fun, playful and totally accurate :-)

“Glitter, sequins, big smiles and big tunes - get set for a stellar journey through the biggest house and disco anthems of all time! Nothing too serious, nothing too underground - just a middle-aged guy clinging on to his youth, jumping around behind the decks and generally getting far too excited. It’s dance-floor bangers, disco debauchery and high-energy party house all the way, with a bit of funk & soul chucked in for good measure!

I’ve been involved in running parties, club nights and festivals for twenty plus years, and been taking DJing seriously for the last four or five. Ep 253: Feel Good Friday Show (Greg Middleton & Dice_NZ)

The latest Funkier Sessionis a good one - a 96 minute beast of a mix from a UK-based DJ and producer called NTRIK. I loooove this mix - there’s loads going on but it flows really well… starting off on a lovely boogie tip but building to something chunkier with original and remixed disco, some house and varied funky vibes. A few classics and some new discoveries in there too. It’s a really nice one, and you’d do well to give it a listen to see what I mean! Return To The Klazzix 5 (Summer Edition) - MM

Horsebox resident Plastic Royale (aka Tompa Minas) took the reins this week, broadcasting live from his studio in Sweden. He kicked things off with some of the funkiest disco grooves to ever hit the digital airwaves, gradually building into an uplifting house vibe by the end of his hour.

The second half of the show featured Dutch legend Lenzz, a gifted DJ from Rotterdam, passionate record collector, and fellow radio show host. His own show, Lenzzie’s New Grooves, airs every Monday from 7pm to 9pm UK time on NDC Radio.

Lenzz delivered an eclectic set packed with jazzy, funky, tribal, and housey vibes—taking us on a rich and rhythmic musical journey.

Andrey - Kravtsov Focus

London-based DJ and producer Pete Ellison has been spinning music for 25 years and has a passion for funk and disco, blending sounds of the 70s with house beats, vocal samples and chunky basslines.

He broadcasts a weekly show on NDC Radio called the "Feel Good Friday Show", with a special guest each week from the Nu-Disco world. The show won the award of "Best Radio Show" at the OGV Music Awards in 2022. 

He's had releases on Super Spicy Records, Spincat Music, Discoholics Anonymous, Mango Sounds, Discography Lessons, Spa In Disco, Duchesse and Hot Digits. Two of his tracks have hit the Number 1 spot on Juno Download.  

He runs a London DJ collective called Serendipity who throw underground events and boat parties. He has played at dozens of London clubs,  and has played at Wilderness, Secret Garden Party, boat parties, woodland raves, Ibiza pool parties and even the dungeon of a French chateau. Long DJ sets are a speciality, with his longest ever DJ performance being an epic 12-hour set.

Pete is also part of The Disco Waltons, a group of International DJs and Disco Lovers who came together during lockdown through their love of music. They host a Sunday night show on NDC Radio, playing on rotation with special guests

As well as Funk, Soul and Disco, he plays Melodic Techno, House and Progressive House
