This episode starts off slow and bubbly, because I was in a slow and bubbly kinda mood that day. We actually start off with something new from me - a track called So Precious that will be out on Discoholics Anonymous soon - I'm very excited!

Me being me things don't stay slow and bubbly for long, and I eventually pick up the pace to smash out a few disco edits and such like towards the end. We've got new bits from Moonroy and my good pals The Magic Track, and assorted less new bits from various artists. 

In hour 2 I bring you a guest mix from Steve Gladdis, AKA Smashed Atoms. I'm proper excited to get Steve in for a guest mix at last - I've been a big fan ever since I heard Cut This Way a few years back, and his productions and DJ mixes are consistently superb. He's definitely not disappointed with this mix - it's a perfectly put together selection of mid tempo groovers, filled to the brim with funky basslines, beautiful vocals and sexy synths that perfectly brings out that Smashed Atoms sound - I love it.

Episode 33: Feel Good Friday Radio Show (special guests Pookie Knights)

Black Light Disco returns to the MyHouse Radio Racecourse with a show of stampeding, galloping thoroughbreds to bet your house on and beat the odds. 

First out of the paddock and under starters orders are our very own Rapscallion Stallions, Pookie Knights - with safe odds of 4-1 to take charge of the Disco Steeplechase and use the advantage of the 'good to firm' ground that they love to run on. 

Next up is a very special guest who is not so much of a dark horse, but an odds-on favourite who is really hitting his stride and winning the Disco race hands down, the incomparable Toby O'Connor! 

Toby was very recently name dropped as "The one to watch" in 2021 by the master himself, Moodena - and already has a string of releases on his CV from his own label, 'Drippin' In Disco'. His on-point production skills and unique style have led to releases with some of the hottest labels out there right now, including Tropical Disco Records, Hot Digits, Super Spicy Records and Mango Sounds. 

We're thrilled to be able to showcase just how talented this dude is on his debut for BLD, and we know you're gonna love these two hours!

Fingerman On Streetsounds Radio (Episode 2) (Part 2) 14/2/21

My special guest this week is one of my favourite artists, Monsieur Van Pratt. Hailing from Mexico City, he is a self-taught musician, DJ and producer who is well-respected in the music world. His music brings together the groove of late seventies disco, eighties funk and the catchy vibe of jazz, but reinvented for modern times with elements of modern synths and rhythms of house music. 

As a producer he is prolific, with a huge back catalogue of tracks released on labels such as Tropical Disco, Masterworks Music, Slightly Transformed and Discoweey. He also runs the record label Super Spicy Records, which has gained a reputation for quality releases of funk and disco. 

Last year Monsieur Van Pratt was ranked #54 in the Traxsource Top 100 Nu-Disco artists of 2020.

Episode 35: Feel Good Friday Radio Show (special guest Monsieur Van Pratt)

Black Light Disco swung back onto the MyHouse Radio airwaves with a show packed to the rafters with knee slappin’ foot tappin’ hifalutin’ good time music. 

Starting things off from behind the BLD Bar and music podium is our resident, Goz - who was serving up the disco punch and giving a two for one offer on the Manhattan Funk cocktails. 

For the second hour of the show we’re delighted to have the one and only Pete Ellison on guest mix duties. 

Pete has been DJ’ing since 1998, earning his stripes playing vinyl and running his own Hard House night. More recently he started a London DJ collective called ‘Serendipity’ who throw underground events and boat parties, with the whole crew typically playing back-to-back all night at their events. 

Pete has had a similar journey to BLD, starting his own weekly broadcast series last year ‘Feel Good Friday Radio Show’ which is growing from strength to strength and has featured some of the biggest names on the Nu-Disco scene as guests. This, ladies and gents, is a corker. A corking corker!

BLD 22nd Feb 2021 with Goz & Pete Ellison

London-based DJ and producer Pete Ellison has been spinning music for 25 years and has a passion for funk and disco, blending sounds of the 70s with house beats, vocal samples and chunky basslines.

He broadcasts a weekly show on NDC Radio called the "Feel Good Friday Show", with a special guest each week from the Nu-Disco world. The show won the award of "Best Radio Show" at the OGV Music Awards in 2022. 

He's had releases on Super Spicy Records, Spincat Music, Discoholics Anonymous, Mango Sounds, Discography Lessons, Spa In Disco, Duchesse and Hot Digits. Two of his tracks have hit the Number 1 spot on Juno Download.  

He runs a London DJ collective called Serendipity who throw underground events and boat parties. He has played at dozens of London clubs,  and has played at Wilderness, Secret Garden Party, boat parties, woodland raves, Ibiza pool parties and even the dungeon of a French chateau. Long DJ sets are a speciality, with his longest ever DJ performance being an epic 12-hour set.

Pete is also part of The Disco Waltons, a group of International DJs and Disco Lovers who came together during lockdown through their love of music. They host a Sunday night show on NDC Radio, playing on rotation with special guests

As well as Funk, Soul and Disco, he plays Melodic Techno, House and Progressive House
