At the heart of Katcross lies a vital beat, an alchemical blend of voice / machines around which a myriad of teeming, luminous sounds orbit. The electro live Kat & Mat create is theirs alone, and they bring it to life on stage with ferocity. This is not your standard euphoric-making nightclub fare, but dance music that asks essential, profoundly human questions. « We’re looking for some answers, » sings Kat in « Two Sides ».

The legendary Tricky wasn’t mistaken when he picked the group’s « Symphony for Irony » for his personal compilation in the Back to Mine series way back in 2003, where the song appears alongside the prestigious likes of The Cure, Eric B & Rakim, The Beat, Dr. John, Morphine, Buzzcocks, Le Tigre, Gregory Isaac, Kate Bush and Chet Baker. 
In 2009, Kat sets the table again with a second LP called « Déjà Vu », followed by a tour of Ireland in 2010.
Kat heads for Canada, this time in tandem with partner Mat. The trip to Montreal and Toronto confirms the group’s new equation: Kat + Mat = Katcross. From now on, Katcross play electronic music… but without a safety net!

For their new opus, "Dowloading Time", the duo called upon the recording expertise of another Bristol big name: Jim Barr, bassist with Portishead’s live band and member of the quartet Get the Blessing who runs J & J Studio in trip hop’s native town.

Pete Judge is a musician & composer based in Bristol, UK. He plays trumpet with  Get The Blessing (BBC Jazz Award winners 2008), Eyebrow, and JOW, amongst many other projects, and is multi-instrumentalist with acoustic trio Three Cane Whale. In 2018 he released an album of solo piano compositions ("piano"); "piano 2" followed in 2020; and in autumn 2022 he releases the third volume ("piano 3"). All the "piano" albums were recorded in St George's Bristol.
