Wicctofly DJ is the name by which Sofia Louro likes to be known when playing electronic music in her DJ act, delivering the crowd a very Tech line of House tracks. The recognised radio voice from Energia Radio and national Antena 3, producer and ex-TV host has been DJing at least for the last 15 years, travelling from vinyl to the digital format.
With the project DJMorgana.Wicctofly she has played at clubs and parties since the early days of the portuguese dance scene boom. Wicctofly DJ grew up along some friends and mentors, such as DJ Vibe (with who produced and presented the weekly radio show Dance Music for 2 years, at Antena 3), Luís Leite, DJ Jiggy, A.Paul, Rui da Silva, M&M, Nuno Miguel, Pedro Costa, Eduardo Guerra and Miguel Quintão. Wicctofly also presented a weekly mix radio show for VOXX.
With her 5 years collaboration with Kaos Records label came also a direct knowledge of the most outrageous portuguese first electronic music projects, as well as experiencing to get in contact with some international DJs and producers. Wicctofly shared booths with Green Velvet, Rob Di Stefano, Celeda, Masters At Work, DJ Vibe, Jim Masters or DJ Harvey, and more recently with Nicole Moudaber, and Laurent Garnier’s international tour L.B.S. .
Thinking about the venues where has played, Wicctofly DJ points out the perfect sound and spaced out booth of Indústria Club Porto, the genuine madness at Rocks, Gaia, and Locomia, being resident DJ at Kings & Queens and at Indústria Lisboa, the LX Factory venues, the underground August crowd at Music Box, Mobi.e dance floor and Electronic Stage at the festival Rock in Rio in Lisbon. Or the intimate ambiance at Europa, Faktory and the Ko-Zee Club. By 2008 she begins her management relationship with Mellow, never forgetting her first agency Friends, managed by António Cunha and Blinds.
Today the reason is still a huge YES to the music. To House music. To all the deepest and strong TechHouse tracks. To the long words and to the not so long. To the charming voices. Directly into some Goddess Speed Session...
