Applefish is the ambient electronica project of Nik Davies, a musician and producer whose work is best described as a fusion of space ambient, downtempo, and electronica, with substantial cross-pollination from drone, psychill, and modern classical genres. The space ambient descriptor is especially apt—much of Applefish's discography explores cosmic and astronomical themes, guiding listeners through ethereal voyages and otherworldly realms. Drawn to celestial themes, Applefish is known for interlacing immersive atmospheres with subtle yet evocative melodic lines and layered, shimmering textures, intentionally evoking a sense of deep introspection and cosmic vastness.

Based in the UK but engaged globally through digital platforms and international label networks, Applefish’s output also spans broader curatorial and label activities. As A&R for Valley View Records, Ambient Soundscapes and Echoes in the Valley, Applefish has worked with a great part of the ambient community fostering collaboration and shaping the ambient scene at large.

Benoit Rault, compositeur de musiques de films, né en 1973 à Paris, étudie la flute traversière au conservatoire, et devient au fil du temps multi-instrumentiste et producer. Il fait partie du collectif HiTnRuN avec son frère Lionel Flairs (aka Flairs). Cette collaboration est surtout axée vers la musique à l’image. Ils composent ensemble des musiques de séries ou de films, dont celle des Combattants pour laquelle ils sont nommés aux César.
Il est aussi connu pour son projet solo Ben's Symphonic Orchestra. Il signe en 1998 avec Courtyard Management (Supergrass-Radiohead) et Microbe Records. Il réalise aussi de nombreux albums aux arrangements subtils notamment pour Barbara Carlotti, Joseph Leon, Morning Star, & Don Nino/////Benoit Rault, a film music composer, born in 1973 in Paris, studied the transverse flute at the conservatory and became a multi-instrumentalist and producer over time. He is part of the collective HiTnRuN with his brother Lionel Flairs (aka Flairs). This collaboration is primarily focused on music for film and television. Together, they compose music for series and films, including the score for 'Les Combattants,' for which they were nominated for a Cesar Award.
