David Gorman writes songs that feel lived-in - fragments of conversations, memories, and moments that pass between people. With just his guitar and an unfiltered voice, he captures the beauty and ache of being human: the tenderness, the missteps, the humour tucked into sadness. Franks Wild Years combine a transmissible selection of dynamic rock influences to formulate an ongoing archive of music ranging from moments of down-home blues to flailing punk bombasticism. An element of their industrial, northern roots can be heard through an unapologetic arsenal of driven blues-guitar riffs, fuzzy bass and trashy drums, rivalling the Manchester rock-music scene.

Using a creative blend of music composition and literature, "Mountaineer" tells the story of Arthur, a young but determined spirit, as he explores the ancient spiritual world that lies beyond his home in the mountain.

The "Mountaineer" universe will be brought to life by a concept driven collection of EPs, each one released with a corresponding storybook which outlines the story behind the music. There is also an official Mountaineer Wiki which enables further reading into the universe.

The first chapter in the series, titled "A Life Carved In the Wake of Loss" is an EP & storybook set which will be released Spring 2013.
