I've been listening to, dancing to, and DJing House Music since back in the day. I consider myself a bit of a student when it comes to the history of the scene, and I'm a fan of legendary venues like Paradise Garage, The Warehouse, and Muzic Box—though I was never lucky enough to experience them firsthand. However, I did get to go to The Hacienda, Quadrant Park, The Sound Factory, and Shelleys.
I originally learned to mix vinyl on a pair of belt-driven turntables before switching to digital about five years ago. Why does this matter? Because learning to DJ on vinyl gives you a deep appreciation for the music and an intuitive feel for what works and what doesn’t. It teaches you to read the flow of a track, knowing exactly when to mix in and out to keep the crowd engaged.
I’m now based in New York City but am originally from the Northwest of the UK, where I played clubs and bars around Liverpool and Manchester. I always believed had the best scene and atmosphere. If you’ve ever been to Quadrant Park, or the Blackburn Raves in the 90s, then you know exactly what I mean. DJs like Andy Carroll, Mike Knowler, Graeme Park and Mike Pickering where DJs who were truly ahead of their time and a big inspiration to me in my early days of learning the art of playing music for people. 
Musically, I now play everything from Detroit Techno and Tech House to Disco, Afro House, and Vocal House—touching on all points in between. My sets are inspired by the long, immersive journeys crafted by Junior Vasquez, Larry Levan, Sasha and Danny Tenaglia. I'm not particularly a fan of EDM, but as Carl Cox once said, "If EDM is your entry drug into the broad church of house music, then it’s all good—it leads to new places" (or words to that effect).

If there’s anyone who prompts the question “When does he find time to make that?” it’s serial editor and remixer Pete Le Freq. For more than 20 years he’s been reworking disco and funk classics as label boss of Alpaca Edits and Llama Farm Recordings, updating originals with a distinctive dance‑floor edge. His prolific remixes have been played by DJs worldwide — he’s a regular at Beatherder, made his Ring stage debut this summer alongside Utah Saints and Jaegerossa, and is a Mastermix remixer alongside Ben Liebrand, Sgt Slick and DJ S. He’s shared decks with Young Pulse, Michael Gray, Craig Charles, Dr Packer and Jo Whiley, and already has dates booked for 2026. 

Simply put:  he makes what he loves in the headphones come out the big speakers.
