Guto Fernandez:  
With a career of 15 years and supported by an incredible research of House, Disco and Soulful Music, Guto Fernandez has been representing Brazil in Europe for a decade, having performed in key clubs and festivals such as Jackies, La Terrazza, Eden Ibiza, Razzmatazz and Amsterdam Dance Event, alongside global legends such as Louie Vega and Kevin Saunderson. 
His performances create a rich vibrational field between hedonistic grooves, retro futuristic sounds, different layers of Deep, Soulful and Disco, in addition to Latin and Brazilian references.  
One of the founders and partners of Tree Sixty One record label, Guto is also a music producer and a creative mind on projects such as Haus.It, FRENESIE, RiZE, in addition to his parallel duo, the Masters On Vacation.
Also known as Good2u, Guto has releases on labels such as Midnight Riot, Moiss Music, La Musique Fantastique and of course his own imprint, Tree Sixty One.

HouseBound - 16th August 2023 .. Ft. Uptown Funk

Killer Boogie episode 07 hit the myhouseradio.fm airwaves last Monday with funk-infused smackdown to the canvas.  De Gama has pulled out all the stops for this month’s show, and has a very special guest lined up that will make your buds salivate and your eyes water.
 
The Samosa Records and Daje Funk Records head honcho takes us down the river for the first hour, with a giggle-basket full of tunes from the legend that is Dave Lee. It’s Disco Blends and Emergency Mixes all the way from De Gama, folks - fasten your seatbelts! 
 
We’ve rolled out the proper red carpet at BLD Towers for De Gama’s guest this month. He’s an absolute favourite around these parts – the one and only Moplen! This Italian maestro is often described as ‘the producer’s producer’, with releases on some of the finest labels out there including GAMM, Lumberjacks In Hell and Soulfuric to name but a few. With a very unique but distinctive music style, Molpen’s edits are always a class above (a valid claim when you’ve remixed Frankie Knuckles, Candi Stanton and Salsoul Orchestra). Today’s show is all about his DJ skills and we can’t wait to showcase this exceptionally talented cannoli on the latest instalment of Killer Boogie.

Spoonie Gee Meets The Sequence - Monster Jam 12 (Sugar Hill Records, 1983)

If ever there was someone who the phrase “How does he find time to make that?” was about, serial editor and remixer Pete Le Freq is it. His reworks have been played on BBC Radio 6 regularly by Craig Charles, and DJs the world over, and the sheer number of tracks he produces have caused people to suggest he doesn't sleep much.

Pete started producing over 12 years ago, and made a bit of noise with his house label Llama Farm Recordings. He's been remixed by Jay-J, Eric Kupper and Kenny Summit, appeared on compilations with Joey Negro and LCD Soundsystem, and played alongside  the likes of Crazy P, Inland Knights, CagedBaby and a few others. 

Since discovering the things he was sampling were better than the things he was making, Pete found that retouching and reworking the originals gave him his producing mojo back, and soon after Alpaca Edits was born. 

The York based edits label has since become home to disco superstars such as Dr Packer, Chuggin Edits, and Mannix. He’s been resident DJ at Sotano in York for the last 7 years, and this has fuelled his productions to greater heights. He’s known for playing 5 hour sets that incorporate both his new productions and others versions of serious disco action.

2019 has seen Pete get a vinyl release alongside the likes of Fingerman, Al Kent and Sleazy McQueen on Samosa Recordings, produce remixes for the likes of Hot Digits and Midnight Riot, as well as having 4 eps of his reworks on his own Alpaca Edits. He’s also debuted at Tramlines Festival in Sheffield, and made a return to rock the Toil Trees stage at Beatherder for the second year running. 

November saw him support Michael Gray and Fingerman at Distrikt in Leeds and Derek Kaye in York. The year ended with him beating the likes of Mousse T and Ray Mang in the Traxsource Nu-Disco Top 100 Artists of the year. 

Lockdown saw Pete go into rework overdrive, running a weekly Thursday night stream, as well as starting a regular show on Street Sounds Radio. He also worked with Ashley Slater of Freak Power on some original tracks.

2021 has seen the return of Pete’s That Needs An Edit nights in York, and will culminate in December with a guest slot from Shaka Loves You.
