Following on from their sublime Patchouli Brothers EP from last year Moton are back with another seriously tidy EP from @marcroberts. He's an artist, like label bosses Dave Jarvis & Diesel, with some serious skin in the game with a career spanning some 25 years. Now based out in Bali, Marc curates festivals and clubs worldwide and is also behind the excellent Pantai People label whose first couple of releases we have raved about here on LV.

His EP for Moton features four diverse tracks from synth bubbler UNO, which is our premier today, to percussion laced vocal bomb King of Nice Days and summery gem Maia Amor and onto the ever so blissful Star Mar. It's a lovely combination and easily shows why Marc is such a not property on the disco scene.

"Really looking forward to The Disco Express event in London at Prince of Wales in November. Very happy to be part of this great line up for the party.

To celebrate and look forward to the good times ahead, I recorded this mix to give you a taste of what’s to come on the night. 

It features a load of tunes which have been really doing it for me over the summer months. Some unreleased, some new, some old, some new versions of old etc all thrown into the mix. Energy wise the focus was on what I imagine would be the soundtrack at The Disco Express.

Well well well ! I have been out for a few month due to a bad broken wrist, but I am good now and glad to give away this new rework of an all time funk classic ! 
"Brick House" was originally released in 1977 on the Commodores self-titled album.
This version is fully DJ friendly, re-mastered, new drums added, and a special new break in the middle.

For more than 20 years he’s been reworking disco and funk classics as label boss of Alpaca Edits and Llama Farm Recordings, updating originals with a distinctive dance‑floor edge. His prolific remixes have been played by DJs worldwide — he’s a regular at Beatherder, made his Ring stage debut this summer alongside Utah Saints and Jaegerossa, and is a Mastermix remixer alongside Ben Liebrand, Sgt Slick and DJ S. He’s shared decks with Young Pulse, Michael Gray, Craig Charles, Dr Packer and Jo Whiley, and already has dates booked for 2026. 

Simply put:  he makes what he loves in the headphones come out the big speakers.
