If there’s anyone who prompts the question “When does he find time to make that?” it’s serial editor and remixer Pete Le Freq. For more than 20 years he’s been reworking disco and funk classics as label boss of Alpaca Edits and Llama Farm Recordings, updating originals with a distinctive dance‑floor edge. His prolific remixes have been played by DJs worldwide — he’s a regular at Beatherder, made his Ring stage debut this summer alongside Utah Saints and Jaegerossa, and is a Mastermix remixer alongside Ben Liebrand, Sgt Slick and DJ S. He’s shared decks with Young Pulse, Michael Gray, Craig Charles, Dr Packer and Jo Whiley, and already has dates booked for 2026. 

Simply put:  he makes what he loves in the headphones come out the big speakers.

Former club DJ (but guests occasionally at private parties and other events) now concentrating on radio presenting. During the 90’s I played across London and the South East, holding long-term residencies at various venues including Adlib, Storm, Churchills (all Southend), Yates (various locations), Walkabout (Various locations), Hot Shots (Various locations), Red Eye, Champs. Futures, SE8, Club SL, Frog & Nightgown (all South East London), Biba’s (Bromley, Kent), Bradleys, Marlowe’s (both Sidcup, Kent) and many other venues in cities and towns such as Southampton, Portsmouth, Margate and Sittingbourne.

Having stepped back from the club scene in 2008 and taking an extended break, I was invited to present a weekly radio show (Saturday Breakfast) in May 2016 on Funky.SX between 8 and 10 a.m., playing commercial and upfront house, dance, urban and club classics.  The show progressed and received an extended time slot from 9 a.m. – 12 noon.  

I have a wealth of experience in radio having presented shows on a variety of other stations during the early to mid-90’s and remains a committed presenter and self-confessed music head, formerly presenter of cheeky "Morning Glory” show on Funky.SX, and now presenting 2 shows on the massive "Street Sounds" brand on www.streetsoundsradio.com.
