From home to the clubs, Mr. Manns (aka Ahmed Manns) has spent over a decade spinning mixes of funky house music at Elsewhere, Bossa Nova Civic Club, Lot45, Pianos, Eris Evolution, Izzy Rose, Rise Radio NYC and many others.

If there’s anyone who prompts the question “When does he find time to make that?” it’s serial editor and remixer Pete Le Freq. For more than 20 years he’s been reworking disco and funk classics as label boss of Alpaca Edits and Llama Farm Recordings, updating originals with a distinctive dance‑floor edge. His prolific remixes have been played by DJs worldwide — he’s a regular at Beatherder, made his Ring stage debut this summer alongside Utah Saints and Jaegerossa, and is a Mastermix remixer alongside Ben Liebrand, Sgt Slick and DJ S. He’s shared decks with Young Pulse, Michael Gray, Craig Charles, Dr Packer and Jo Whiley, and already has dates booked for 2026. 

Simply put:  he makes what he loves in the headphones come out the big speakers.

Desde o início da carreira como DJ (1986), sempre teve a intensa curiosidade de aprender sobre a arte, e sozinho chegou lá, tornando-se sinônimo de qualidade e competência... um verdadeiro especialista na arte da mixagem, com vocação natural para manter a pista sempre cheia. Comandou programas de Dance Music nas principais radios de São Luis com os programas YOU CAN DANCE (Radio Cidade), RADIO FLIGHT** (Sao Luis FM, hj Jovem Pan), NA BALADA (Jovem Pan - SLZ) e participações em programas de outras emissoras. Não podendo também esquecer das boites como Aquarius (Pi), Matrichan (PI), Doce Vita (Pi), Mucuripe (antiga)(CE), Chaplin (RN), KGB (MA), Club da Cohab (MA), Gênesis (classica), Ninja e Tajmahal (MA), Extravagance (MA), Flamingo (MA), DIZZO (MA) e outras, além é claro, de festas temáticas organizadas pelos principais produtores de eventos da cena eletrônica em São Luís. 
Pesquisador nato de novas tendências e de técnica apurada, fez com que seu reconhecimento profissional seja lembrado por aqueles que curtiram, discotecaram, e ou se espelharam em seus sets no passado, e ainda pelos que hoje se energizam nas pistas por onde toca, sempre proporcionando momentos "surpresa", mágicos, de renovação da pista para quem o escuta.
Também é DJ especialista  (colecionador de material fonográfico) nas décadas de 70, 80 e 90, o tornando conhecedor do cenário musical dessas épocas. Possui vasto repertório destas décadas o que faz dele um dos djs mais especializados para festas de flash back.

Possessing an accurate feeling for sounds and new trends in electronic music. Born in Rio de Janeiro, but residing in São Luís (MA), dominates the dancefloors with sets made up of strands of house music (Vocal House, Club {Tribal - Latin}, Electro, Progressive, Tech House and Deep House), without lettering style, thus creating a mixing of joyful sounds to the hot dancefloor without rhythmic monotony.
Passionate about music in its purest form, has a professional studio where he conducted productions of local artists, and is preparing for production of electronic music, thus entering the ranks of DJs and producers-music.
Since the early DJ career (1986), has always had an intense curiosity to learn about art and myself got there, becoming synonymous of quality and competence, a true expert in the art of mixing, with a natural vocation to keep the dancefloors always full and heated. He commanded dance music radio shows in any broadcasters of São Luis as YOU CAN DANCE (Radio Cidade), RADIO FLIGHT (São Luis FM, current Jovem Pan), NA BALADA (Jovem Pan - SLZ) and participating in dance music radio shows to other broadcasters. He commanded the nightclubs as a resident DJ, Boite CAIXA ALTA, RAIO LASER and PEOPLE's (both in Casino Maranhense Club) TUCANU'S (in the peak), Genesis (2nd version) and recently PUB AMSTERDAM. He played in the discotheques as as unforgettable  TOCO (SP),  RESUMO DA OPERA (SP) and WHISKADÃO (Camburiú) where he had the honor of sharing the sound cabin with top DJs on the national scene, as more recently in BARONETII (RJ) too. Do not forget as well, also unforgettable nightclubs Aquarius (Pi ) Matrichan (PI), Doce Vita (Pi), Mucuripe (old version) (CE), Chaplin (RN), KGB (MA), Club da Cohab (MA), Genesis (old version - classic), and Ninja - Tajmahal (MA,) Extravagance (MA), Flamingo (MA), Dizzo (MA) and others, and of course, theme parties organized by the leading producers of electronic music events in São Luis and othes cities (Brazil).
Researcher born of new trends and accurate technique, made his professional recognition will be remembered by those who like or been inspired by his sets in the past and still today they are energized he dancefloors where he plays for, always providing "surprise" moments (magics), renovation on the dancefloor for those who hear it.
It is also an expert DJ (collector of phonographic material) in the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s, making him knowledgeable about the music scene these times. It has vast repertoire of these decades making it one of the DJs more specialized in oldies parties (It knows as "flash back" in Brazil).
Special thanks to the DJs who have shared their sound cabins at the time (of the clubs mentioned above) for those famous regional expression "straws" (play a little) and yet for the event organizers that there were also making their parties with me in the turntables control.
