I perform four live sets every month on Mixcloud, Twitch, Kick and Tango. I also do guest slots on radio and web if you approach me. 

On Wednesdays, I host Wiggle Wednesday, where I play Jacking House.

Thursdays are dedicated to Thursday Therapy, where I play a variety of House music, ranging from Drum and Bass to Deep House and Chill.

Fridays are for Filthy Friday, a request show where I play tunes sent to me by producers. I play all sorts of music, including new releases.

Sundays are all about Sunday Confessions, where I play Deep House, Melodic House, and Progressive House.

I do occasionally change the theme of my sets to keep things fresh.

First and foremost, I want to express my gratitude to all the DJs and producers who upload their music on Soundcloud for free downloads. Many people overlook Soundcloud as a platform for discovering up-and-coming talented DJs who dedicate their time to create edits for people to enjoy. This page is not only a platform for sharing music but also a space that supports and promotes talents, giving them the love and recognition they deserve. Music has always been a means of expression and communication, and it should always remain that way. Every true music lover starts their journey on Soundcloud, and even though there are numerous platforms to download music these days, sharing and reposting music for free keeps the spirit of music alive, in my opinion. I live my life by the saying "Energy Flows Where Attention Goes," so I encourage you to repost music you discover because you never know, that one song might inspire the next generation to keep the music we love alive.

Music is truly understood when you feel it. I spent the late 80’s and early 90s dancing all over Europe, experiencing the vibrant acid house, techno clubs, house, and trance scenes. From the iconic Love Parade in Berlin to the early raves in the UK, I have traveled extensively and have had the privilege of meeting many legends throughout the years. My passion for life has been earned, and only those with a rich soul and kindness are welcome to join me on this journey.

Some people simply listen to music, but for me, it is a deep love. Music is life in my world, and there is no better place to experience it than on a dance floor without a care in the world. Those who understand this feeling and space are always welcome to connect with me. If you are the type of person who starts dancing as soon as you put on your headphones, then you are my kindred spirit. There is nothing quite like that moment in music when a tune transports you back to a specific place and time.

I do my best to research music and save it on my likes page. So if you are looking for a particular tune or a banger, start there. I can guarantee you will find something you love. I also support DJs because they are the artisans who bring us joy through their craft. If DJs send me new tunes, I always make sure to listen to everything they send. I am not an influencer or one of those bots that seem to be everywhere these days. If I genuinely like what you produce, I will give it a like, repost, and save it for others to discover. Well, I like Edits and Reworks especially of Songs that are not well known or almost forgotten. There is so much great Music from the 70th, 80th and other decades that is absolutely perfect, but some songs just need to be polished. Some old productions are weak because of the technique they had. 
I focus on what comes out of the mouth. The voice! 
Great singers deserve to be brought back to an audience. I like to pimp Songs of these awesome vocalist to get their Music heard again. I want their tunes back on the dancefloor!

Growing up in Solingen near Cologne and Düsseldorf, I had some fantastic club experiences. 
My great passion is dancing. I started mixing during the pandemic in June 21 and now I play for many radio stations, including Radio Kosmos Berlin, Techneck Techno & Tech House, Profound Radio UK and 365 FM Radio. Guest mix on NDC Radio UK. I love house music in all its genres and of course techno. I express my love of music in my sets, which are always very impulsive and full of energy. The groove just has to be right. I produced my first song with a good friend Hardvalley in 2025. I have my own club series on Sundays in a cultural association here in my city Waldmeister e.V. If ever there was someone who the phrase “How does he find time to make that?” was about, serial editor and remixer Pete Le Freq is it. His reworks have been played on BBC Radio 6 regularly by Craig Charles, and DJs the world over, and the sheer number of tracks he produces have caused people to suggest he doesn't sleep much.

Pete started producing over 12 years ago, and made a bit of noise with his house label Llama Farm Recordings. He's been remixed by Jay-J, Eric Kupper and Kenny Summit, appeared on compilations with Joey Negro and LCD Soundsystem, and played alongside  the likes of Crazy P, Inland Knights, CagedBaby and a few others. 

Since discovering the things he was sampling were better than the things he was making, Pete found that retouching and reworking the originals gave him his producing mojo back, and soon after Alpaca Edits was born. 

The York based edits label has since become home to disco superstars such as Dr Packer, Chuggin Edits, and Mannix. He’s been resident DJ at Sotano in York for the last 7 years, and this has fuelled his productions to greater heights. He’s known for playing 5 hour sets that incorporate both his new productions and others versions of serious disco action.

2019 has seen Pete get a vinyl release alongside the likes of Fingerman, Al Kent and Sleazy McQueen on Samosa Recordings, produce remixes for the likes of Hot Digits and Midnight Riot, as well as having 4 eps of his reworks on his own Alpaca Edits. He’s also debuted at Tramlines Festival in Sheffield, and made a return to rock the Toil Trees stage at Beatherder for the second year running. 

November saw him support Michael Gray and Fingerman at Distrikt in Leeds and Derek Kaye in York. The year ended with him beating the likes of Mousse T and Ray Mang in the Traxsource Nu-Disco Top 100 Artists of the year. 

Lockdown saw Pete go into rework overdrive, running a weekly Thursday night stream, as well as starting a regular show on Street Sounds Radio. He also worked with Ashley Slater of Freak Power on some original tracks.

2021 has seen the return of Pete’s That Needs An Edit nights in York, and will culminate in December with a guest slot from Shaka Loves You.
