"Timmy Richardson aka TOT, Bronx, New York native likes to say he started his deejaying around the age of three. That would be when he got his first record player. He became obsessed with records. As he got older he became obsessed with radio. He grew up listening to all the major NYC stations at the time. His all-time favorite was Frankie Crocker everyday on WBLS in New York City. This all led to him becoming a DJ as well as an avid record collector.

He would go on to become one of the underground scene’s well-known DJ’s. He became a partner with Greg Daye of Wild Pitch, the moving underground parties of the late 80s – early 90s. A few years later he realized his dream of playing abroad when he traveled to Japan for a 3-city tour. He has also played in Brussels, Belgium, as well as for Spike Lee in 2016 for 3000 on Prince's birthday the year he passed. 

In 2006 he decided to start a record label called TOT PRESENTS. TOT is an acronym for “The Other Timmy”. People very often confuse him with the legendary Timmy Regisford of Club Shelter. The label has a few releases out now produced by Timmy himself, as well as others. You can find them on various digital download sites. Timmy also specializes in mash-ups. Since 2004 he has amassed over 500 mash-ups as well as remixes and re-edits. He is proud to say that his collaboration edit with Greg Womack of the Jones Girls’ – Nights Over Egypt, was released on Philadelphia International: The Re-edits. Some have also been released on King Street Records & Restricted Access. Timmy is also became owner of the infamous Deep House Page inherited from Gerard Rose. The site has spawned an online radio station DHP RADIO. Another dream Timmy has realized."

I'm not one for massive social media posts but sometimes certain things warrant one and this definitely does! 

My journey with The Move started over a decade ago a fresh faced 18 year old raver who saw himself as a bit of a DJ... 😂 My first experience came from the dancefloor and that's how it stayed for many years it gave me some of the best nights of my life and definitely pushed me on with my music! 

Fast forward a few years and after DJ'ing out locally on many different events an opportunity to take over the Room2 residency at The Move came about, of course being the young & hungry DJ I was saying no just wasn't an option and that was the moment I went from the dancefloor to becoming a resident. Alongside Mark & Marv we absolutely destroyed that box room in the mill on a monthly basis if you know you know kinda vibe... 😉 8 years later I'm still a resident I've seen many raving faces come and ago, I've seen the scene and music change however one thing that's always stayed the same is the vibe it's always been second to none! 

As soon as I heard about a special one off event remembering 12 years of Move classics I just had to be involved. What an honour it is to dig deep bringing back all those tunes and remembering some of the most legendary night’s experienced over the last decade in Stoke on Trent... ❤️

Easter Saturday is the date, The Sugarmaill is the venue, the tickets are below and to get you all in the mood I've dug deep to put this mix together its strictly Move Classics only... 🙌🏼 I don't think I've put a track in there past 2014 expect plenty more of these bombs on the night!!! 🔥

Sam’s set from St Mary's Chambers, Rossendale/Rowtenstall in North West, UK. This marks the 4th time Sam has been support DJ for Craig Charles Funk & Soul show on warm up DJ duties. 

All tracks are mixed and beat matched from start to finish, beginning at 100BPM and gently increasing to around 120BPM with a reset in the middle. 

The set includes a mixture of soul, funk and disco genres including originals, remixes and modern alongside some of Sam’s own edits.

All Down In Lockdown Mix

If ever there was someone who the phrase “How does he find time to make that?” was about, serial editor and remixer Pete Le Freq is it. His reworks have been played on BBC Radio 6 regularly by Craig Charles, and DJs the world over, and the sheer number of tracks he produces have caused people to suggest he doesn't sleep much.

Pete started producing over 12 years ago, and made a bit of noise with his house label Llama Farm Recordings. He's been remixed by Jay-J, Eric Kupper and Kenny Summit, appeared on compilations with Joey Negro and LCD Soundsystem, and played alongside  the likes of Crazy P, Inland Knights, CagedBaby and a few others. 

Since discovering the things he was sampling were better than the things he was making, Pete found that retouching and reworking the originals gave him his producing mojo back, and soon after Alpaca Edits was born. 

The York based edits label has since become home to disco superstars such as Dr Packer, Chuggin Edits, and Mannix. He’s been resident DJ at Sotano in York for the last 7 years, and this has fuelled his productions to greater heights. He’s known for playing 5 hour sets that incorporate both his new productions and others versions of serious disco action.

2019 has seen Pete get a vinyl release alongside the likes of Fingerman, Al Kent and Sleazy McQueen on Samosa Recordings, produce remixes for the likes of Hot Digits and Midnight Riot, as well as having 4 eps of his reworks on his own Alpaca Edits. He’s also debuted at Tramlines Festival in Sheffield, and made a return to rock the Toil Trees stage at Beatherder for the second year running. 

November saw him support Michael Gray and Fingerman at Distrikt in Leeds and Derek Kaye in York. The year ended with him beating the likes of Mousse T and Ray Mang in the Traxsource Nu-Disco Top 100 Artists of the year. 

Lockdown saw Pete go into rework overdrive, running a weekly Thursday night stream, as well as starting a regular show on Street Sounds Radio. He also worked with Ashley Slater of Freak Power on some original tracks.

2021 has seen the return of Pete’s That Needs An Edit nights in York, and will culminate in December with a guest slot from Shaka Loves You.
