My special guest week this week is Jasmin, aka JAY-KAY, a relative newcomer to the world of DJing who has a real passion and talent. She has been a music addict and vinyl collector since her early teens, but recently took to the decks, mentored by her fiancée and fellow music lover, DJ BK.

She’s got off to a very strong start, with a series of soundcloud mixes that have proved extremely popular with music fans across the globe. Her musical style is diverse, ranging from disco to pop to house and back again, always with an uplifting live and nice energy. Jay-Kay is also the newest member of the Disco Waltons.

This week's guest is Vickie Vibe, who treats us to a delicious set of uplifting tunes for the second hour.

** VICKIE VIBE BIO **
Vickie Vibe has been a professional club DJ for over 25 years playing at some of London’s top clubs, Heaven, The Cross & Sway to name but a few.

As a young kid she dreamed of being a dancer and went on to train at The Old Vic in London in her teens. Graduating in 1994, she met her husband Mat who introduced her to DJing. She fell in love instantly. Having had a great love for music from a very young age, Vickie would spend hours listening to old records and creating mix tapes.

Her career started as a house and trance DJ back in the 90s, where she could be found every week behind the decks or on the dance floors of legendary clubs Turnmills, The Cross, Bagleys & The End to name but a few.

In the early 2000s she discovered her passion for soul and house music. Installing sound systems for Soul City and Soul Heaven she was inspired by some of the finest DJs in the world, Dave Lee, Paul Trouble Anderson, Booker T, Karizma, Spen and many more. This ignited her obsession with soul, rare groove, boogie, disco and house music. Her wide and diverse taste in music can be felt today in her uplifting, feel good DJ sets.

If there’s anyone who prompts the question “When does he find time to make that?” it’s serial editor and remixer Pete Le Freq. For more than 20 years he’s been reworking disco and funk classics as label boss of Alpaca Edits and Llama Farm Recordings, updating originals with a distinctive dance‑floor edge. His prolific remixes have been played by DJs worldwide — he’s a regular at Beatherder, made his Ring stage debut this summer alongside Utah Saints and Jaegerossa, and is a Mastermix remixer alongside Ben Liebrand, Sgt Slick and DJ S. He’s shared decks with Young Pulse, Michael Gray, Craig Charles, Dr Packer and Jo Whiley, and already has dates booked for 2026. 

Simply put:  he makes what he loves in the headphones come out the big speakers.
