 Vito & Druzzi kick off the new year by kicking out the jams.  This time around the jam is a heavy polyrhythmic rework of the Hugh Masekela classic "Don't Go Baby".   Mr. Masekela has always had a special place in the hearts of Vito & Druzzi.  While one of Druzzi's all time favorite tracks is the protest funk track "Mace and Grenades", Vito's experience of Hugh back in the Summer of 1999 portended his musical life to come:  "When I moved to NYC in the summer of 1999 one of the first shows I saw was Hugh Masekela in Central Park.  I wasn't very familiar with his music (he was playing with Carl Craig who I had come to see) but after his concert I left  a life long fan.  Watching him live was incredibly inspiring.  Man! Could he play a mean cowbell!!!".

Lucky Together (feat. Helen & Ever Mihigo)

Los Angeles-based disco maven LUXXURY’s follows up on KCRW "Morning Becomes Eclectic" favorite "What Are We Gonna Do?" with another quasi-instrumental “Make it Right." Like Khruangbin meets Tory Y Moi and Washed Out with a falsetto nod to The Bee Gees, the song is all dusty beats, dreamy synths and a minimal just out of reach falsetto vocal. Inspired by a breakup (a bad one, like...really bad) the song is a hopeful refrain of redemption, in anticipation of new beginnings.

For more than 20 years he’s been reworking disco and funk classics as label boss of Alpaca Edits and Llama Farm Recordings, updating originals with a distinctive dance‑floor edge. His prolific remixes have been played by DJs worldwide — he’s a regular at Beatherder, made his Ring stage debut this summer alongside Utah Saints and Jaegerossa, and is a Mastermix remixer alongside Ben Liebrand, Sgt Slick and DJ S. He’s shared decks with Young Pulse, Michael Gray, Craig Charles, Dr Packer and Jo Whiley, and already has dates booked for 2026.
