Metroid Fusion is one of my favorite games in the series, so I decided to reimagine some of the music for fun and see what I think it'd sound like modernized to fit on consoles with fuller sound hardware.  I wanted to align it more with my favorite soundtracks in the series - especially Metroid Prime -  while not straying too far from the unique military vibe that Fusion's soundtrack really pushes.  Here's the result, with probably more remixes/reimaginings from this game on the way!

The goal is still to modernize the soundtrack by combining Fusion's music with my favorite musical aesthetics from the series (Prime), while also keeping Fusion's unique musical voice & tone. FL Studio confusingly decided to nuke a bunch of my effects channels right before mastering this one, so the process ended up getting pretty frustrating, but overall I'm super happy with how this remix of Sector 4's underwater depths turned out.  I especially love how the textured percussion & transition effects came out and figured out some really cool tricks while making them.

Talha said he likes Metroid Prime 2, so I remixed Metroid Prime 2 :)

I wanted something that could bump in the club so I went with a slow funky house type beat. Whenever I remix Metroid I always wanna make sure the atmosphere is right, yknow? The soundscape is always airy, glitchy, and mysterious. It was actually somewhat challenging combining that into this kind of a beat, but I think I managed! What do you think, are you bumping this on Torvus Bog?
