THE RETURN OF LIGHT
The freezing night is still and thick, but it’s darkness will soon be broken,
The end of longest day ahead and the start of a the new day to come. 
Amidst the snow and biting air, the heartbeat holds steady, 
Anticipating Spring ahead and what the new light of day holds unspoken.

The dancing rays, sky set aglow, bring warmth and light, 
Languor and strife come to a peaceful end, 
Bringing in a change, whence the days will start to bright. 
The solstice, half way through the season, gives a happy mend.

The promising return of warm and gold, 
Sparkles of life and beauty, both will unfold.

Miles Davis was cool. His classic "So What" was very cool. Ronny Jordan's acid jazz take on Miles' "So What" was very cool indeed. 

I like cool!

As "Take Five" inspired me to do "Take Six", "So What" inspired me to do "That's What". Same logic applies; an outline with lots of room for manouvering, contact a bunch of awesome musicians, see what they come up with and blend and stir everything into a delightfully cool cocktail. Swing it ;-)!

Blue Passion: "A man and a woman staring out in the moonlit blue darkness, on the deck overlooking the ocean, the party behind them. They haven't spoken , hardly glanced at each other but they know the night belongs to them."

Alas, the somewhat naive, youthful vision I had, making this track many years ago; giving Yann the opportunity to go make some great lyrics, Rudi to bring his jazzy side, Daniele to do his funk and introducing a new collaborative super combo; Manuel Muzzu on bass and Manuel Muzzu on drums - you really bring it.
