On top of the sizzling bass/drum combo of pro rockers Jonny Trobro and Walter Kelleher, you'll be rewarded with one of this year's finest guitar solo performances from the burning fingers of Jerry Kramskoy.

Also, got to give it up to Italian prog metal unit DGM and their fantastic track "Reason", which inspired me to do this track.

Another joyful collaboration with darling Michelle Yaneza with the golden voice, this time backed up by a 100% Swedish crew.

Originally a track inspired by the "Theme from Hill Street Blues" from my youth, we have developed this to a fine example of SC musical collaboration at its best. My gratitude goes out to all musicians involved;

What is cool?

Miles Davis was cool. His classic "So What" was very cool. Ronny Jordan's acid jazz take on Miles' "So What" was very cool indeed. 

I like cool!

As "Take Five" inspired me to do "Take Six", "So What" inspired me to do "That's What". Same logic applies; an outline with lots of room for manouvering, contact a bunch of awesome musicians, see what they come up with and blend and stir everything into a delightfully cool cocktail. Swing it ;-)!

It's a true honor to realize visions, the potential of an idea, through collaborations, with people from near and afar sharing the same passion - in this case, music.

I am so grateful for having the opportunity and means to pursue my musical dreams; there's really no excuse for me not to "Reach Higher", but my own imaginary limitations.

Time for some hard-hitting jazz funk fusion that everybody loves to hate, and I couldn't care less ;-)! Take it or leave it.  Love it. Love my collaborators temperaments, fusing it together into a completely original fresh breath of air. 

Magnus and I started with a vision of Miles Davis asphalt funk - in a "Single in New York" state of mind. Mirko's intricate and elegant bass flew us from New York to Zurich, escorted to a classy lounge. Michael's energetic, virtuoso guitar performance kept us travelling to...well, up to you, listener, whether you wanna reside in NY, Zurich or whatever place, and with whomever you fancy...

When I first composed this track a few years ago, based on an original idea by my friend Benjamin, I felt elated - like I had reached a new level of creativity. Little did I know then that I would be able to realise what were actually merely sketches into fullfledged songs, thanks to the SoundCloud community. Finally I've come around to also elevate my old favorite "Recurrent Occurrence" with a little help of my friends; Derek on the finest jazz guitar to be found on SC, always awesome Michelle on jazzy vocals and introducing Magnus on EWI.
