Dj'ing for over 13 years now. Learning on a pair of Numark Vinyl decks in 2002. Back then Speed Garage, Bassline and Funky House tracks were what i bought and used to play. 

Around 2010 I was approached by the manager of a new bar in Birmingham called Purple Bar and started playing there Friday and Saturdays which projected my name across the Midlands quickly.
Since 2010 I’ve repeatedly played at The Rainbow, Nightingale Top Floor, So It Goes, Birmingham Pride Dance Arenas, Chic and Bushwackers. 
This year I played in Croatia and over the next few months i have been booked to play in Stoke, Stourbridge, Cheltenham and Nottingham. 

My style of music i would say now is House, Bass & Tech but i find it hard to categorise because i vary it up and a good beat is a good beat ha!

Production / Engineering wise I have worked with Thomas Graham, James Lowe (Development) and Jamie Vine. Janai (vocalist) has also featured on one of my tracks with Thomas Graham. August 2015 started producing and since then i have released an EP under the alias Ana Cole and my latest three tracks under Lisa Sharred have gained plays and support from TS7 on Kiss, Billy Kenny, DJ Q, Flava D and also been broadcasted on BBC WM Introducing.

My debut into clubland was with a residency at a brand new Birmingham gay venue - Tin Tins Club in 1990 followed by appearances at Madisons & the University in Bournemouth in 91-92. I joined Tony De Vit as one of the residents at a new house all-nighter event ‘Hype’ in 93, held at Tin Tins – which ran until it’s closure in 1997 and was one of the city’s best loved dance clubs. In 1993 I began a 25 year Saturday night residency with Birmingham’s Nightingale Club, the legendary LGBT venue now celebrating it’s 50th anniversary. Other gigs in the 90s included a residency with ‘S.L.A.G’ at the Steering Wheel Club and guest appearances at ‘Sundissential’ & ‘Funkissential’ and Digbeth’s trance superclub ‘Gods Kitchen’. I presented a music & clubbing show on cable channel ‘Live TV’ in the late 90s visiting all of the big club events in the Midlands, interviewing many of the big name DJs and dance artists of the era.
The 00’s included DJ appearances at London, Manchester and Birmingham Pride festivals and joining the original resident DJs at ‘The Breakfast Club’ all-nighter in Kudos (Chic), Birmingham. I created & promoted the successful ‘HOM – House of Music’ night on the top floor of the Nightingale Club for a 10 year run, whilst also running the venue between 2006 and 2010 – winning the prestigious BEDA Best UK Nightclub Award in 2008.
During the last decade I continued the Nightingale Club residency, winning the Midland Zone Best Club DJ readers award in 2014, along with other Birmingham residencies at The Loft & The Core Club and The Yard in Coventry, plus occasional festival appearances including Back2 in Derby, Music Live, Proud Freedom Fest Coventry & Birmingham Pride.   I'm now Saturday night resident at The Village Birmingham & occasional appearances at The Nightingale Club.

The Strypes are 4-piece rhythm and blues band hailing from Cavan, Ireland, formed in 2011 by Ross Farrelly (lead vocals/harmonica), Josh McClorey (lead guitar/vocals), Pete O'Hanlon (bass guitar/harmonica) and Evan Walsh (drums).

The group has spent the past 18 months launching their explosive R&B assault on the clubs and festivals of Ireland, the UK and Europe, viciously hammering out a no-nonsense blues repertoire drawing from the songbooks of Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley, Howlin' Wolf, Little Walter, Slim Harpo and more with the passion and venom of British blues groups such as Dr. Feelgood, The Yardbirds, The Rolling Stones and The Animals. 

Having already been met with critical acclaim from greats such as Jeff Beck and Paul Weller and been tipped by NME as the No. 1 new band to watch, it seems things can only get better for The Strypes.
