Ram Dass first went to India in 1967. He was still Dr. Richard Alpert, a prominent Harvard psychologist and psychedelic pioneer with Dr. Timothy Leary. He continued his psychedelic research until that fateful Eastern trip in 1967, when he traveled to India. In India, he met his guru, Neem Karoli Baba, affectionately known as Maharajji, who gave Ram Dass his name, which means “servant of God.” Everything changed then – his intense dharmic life started, and he became a pivotal influence on a culture that has reverberated with the words “Be Here Now” ever since. Ram Dass’ spirit has been a guiding light for three generations, carrying along millions on the journey, helping to free them from their bonds as he works through his own.

Timo B. AKA PUSH N FRACTALS has been steadily producing music since 2016 and has recently started performing at various venues/ festivals along the Westcoast. Seattle born and raised, his creative flow stems from his dubstep, glitch and hip-hop music background. Push is moved and inspired by artists such as The Glitch Mob, ATyYA and CharlesTheFirst. Private sessions with local Seattle instructors encouraged Push to deepen his artistic abilities and continue to pursue his calling as a producer.

Push devotedly crafts his music to tell the story of his creative vision without words. One with his music, he likes to be hands on, pushing buttons and turning knobs. Currently, Push is working on building a live performance within Abelton Live using the Push 2 Controller and the Alesis Sample Pad Pro. His Freshmen EP, Fractology, is a 3-track solo EP consisting of down-tempo, melodic bass- all originally produced. Timo continues to push his techniques on production/ performance to new limits daily.

Desert Dwellers is a pioneering electronic music project that bridges the ancient and the future, fusing deep bass, world instrumentation, and psychedelic textures into immersive sonic journeys. Founded in 1999 by Amani Friend and Treavor Moontribe, the project grew out of the legendary Moontribe gatherings in the deserts of Southern California and Santa Fe, New Mexicos desert rave scene. 

Blending influences from many genres, Desert Dwellers has released dozens of albums and remixes, toured across five continents, and collaborated with an eclectic array of artists from around the world. Their music has graced stages at Symbiosis, Ozora, Lightning in a Bottle, Boom, Envision, Shambhala, and Burning Man, resonating with audiences through both meditative journeys and powerful dancefloor experiences.

In 2026, Desert Dwellers will enter its most significant evolution yet. Co-founder Amani Friend will be stepping away from touring to focus on studio production and other creative pursuits, while a new collaborator joined the project, acclaimed producer and mixing/mastering engineer Sarkis Mikael. While continuing to honor the project’s signature sound and ethos “Music Beyond Borders,” Desert Dwellers is now expanding into bold new sonic territories. Sarkis, with releases on respected labels like Sol Selectas, Saisons, and Hoomidaas, brings a fresh creative spark and deep musical integrity.
