In the far north of Colombia, all the way along the Caribbean coast, you can find one of the world's best hostels called El Rio. This magnificent place is co-run by Ben Davies who left the north of the UK a decade ago in search of sun, snakes and waterfalls.

One element that makes El Rio special is that, since its inception, underground clubbing and electronic music have been central to the project. This manifests as endless club nights, riverside sunrises (and mornings), and the groundbreaking Bonanza festival, a happening that brings together the very best of Colombian, South American and global underground electronic dance music acts, all co-curated by Ben and Adi    

Ben Davies also deejays under the name Benny. His UK roots are never far away, which is something you will hear in this brand new Basic Moves mix, recorded live on Sunday evening of this year’s edition of Bonanza. I was on the dancefloor the whole time and when, a couple of months ago, Benny told me the set was recorded, it was a no-brainer to put it out on the Basic Moves platform.

Snakes, waterfalls and a lot of techno, breaks, trance and acidic goodies … just how we like it … give it up for Benny!

We are happy to share the full closing set from Bonanza 2024 in all its glory, recorded on the Sunday night into Monday morning, from none other than Jane Fitz.

The closing is always a special time, especially for a non-stop, intimate event like Bonanza. When we managed to convince Jane to come to our little jungle riverside rave-up, we knew it was the slot for her. You can feel the emotion and energy on display over these 4 glorious hours; dive in and bask in the sun-kissed squelch.

Poddy #7 is coming from one of Vienna's hidden gems: jpeg. Jakob has been an integral part of the local scene, co-founding and runnig labels & party series like "Rota Bene" and "Entrance Music". He has been a rolemodel of ours for years now, known for relentlessly digging for obscurities and rarities that genuinely blow your mind. This recording is an outtake of a 3+ hour warmup set in PRST Club, yet again showcasing why the nickname "groovemasta fitsch" fits so accurately. Great to have you on board friend, definitely one to keep an eye on.

Our next podcast comes from Amsterdam local, Lo. Lo is one of the founding members of Bella Tazza and has been slowly building his reputation as one of the cities best young diggers for the last few years. His style is eclectic, vibrant and in many ways obscure. Drifting through the abstract realms of electro and minimalistic techno, this latest offering demonstrates the artists ability to unearth forgotten gems and intertwine them with futuristic modern cuts. A trip we most enjoyed. We’re sure you will too!
