Our next Urban Cosmonaut personifies the essence of this podcast series. 
Peter Power's music is a multi-dimensional exploration of sounds that takes the reader on a voyage, to a ritual gathering in a sacred temple, where we find ourselves in the heart of the jungle on a remote planet, spiraling into percussive, vocal and atmospheric loops blended with music from around the world.

Peter Power is a medium. 
He saturates himself with input from the ambience of his environment, from the beating of his own and others' hearts. Channeling his inspirations into mixes that oscillate, vibrate, pulsate, girate, elongate - his own edits, remixes and productions reveal a celestial sound that is unique to him.
After emerging from a darker place these past few years, this mix is his attempt to reconnect with the warmer light of humanity. 

We asked Peter what his third eye means to him. His answer: it's the feedback between inner and outer self. We'll take that as an impulse and let him guide us to a sacred place inside ourselves and outside the constraints of the body self.

His message to the listener is simple: awake into life!

Salam!
During April and May 2017, i traveled through the Islamic Republic of Iran. Beneath lovely people, beautiful landscape and great food, i searched and found pop records from the era before the islamic revolution.
Before Iran got an Islamic Republic, the country was ruled by the Pahlavi dynasty (1925-1979). A monarchy which opened the persian culture for western influences and repressed the religion of islam. This led to a few transcultural music-projects, which combined traditional instruments with western rock influence. Most of them were released on 7“ vinyls, by labels like Ahang-e Rooz, Royal, Iran Gram, Caspian and many more.
After the religious revolution those records were confiscated and destroyed. Until today, women are not allowed to sing in public anymore. Suddenly a whole music-movement was gone.

بین اوریل و مه ۲۰۱۷ من به ایران مسافرت کردم.
در کنار مردم مهربان و طبیعت زیبا و غذای خوب، من صفحه های موزیک پاپ از قبل انقلاب اسلامی را پیدا کردم. 
قبل از انقلاب اسلامی این کشور در حکوت پهلوی (۱۹۷۹ - ۱۹۲۵) بوده است. یک سلطنت که فرهنگ ایران را برای نفوذ غرب باز کرد و   دین اسلام را محدود کرد. این باعث شد که یک در درآمیختگی بین موزیک سنتی و الات موسیقی سنتی با موزیک راک غرب بوجود بیاید.
قسمت زیادی از این  درآمیختگی به صورت صفحه های ۷ اینچ (7“ vinyls) با برچسب های اهنگ روز، رویال، ایران گرام، کاسپین و غیره… عرضه شدند. بعد از انقلاب اسلامی این  صفحه های موزیک جمع شدند. 
تا اکنون به بانوان اجازه خواندن در موزیک به صورت رسمی و علنی داده نشده است. ناگهان یک حرکت در موزیک محو شد.

this is always something really special, because it's about great food, delicious wine and great music i never play in a club.
this selection is 90% vinyl....some rare stuff from the 50s, 60s,70s...lot of 7"s, lot of stuff i found in small record shops in south africa, egypt or somewhere else in the world.
i really love to play stuff like this from time to time and i hope you enjoy it as much as i do.
this is not a mix!
and this is only 4 from 5 or 6 hours, then the battery of my recorder died ;)

A true celebration of slow grooves, dense surfaces and world rhythms. 

Fog Puma is always exploring the outer edges of dance music; you can clearly hear his interest in new wave, synth pop and cosmic, with a big touch of african and south american rhythms. His sets are percussive, dubby, preferably psychedelic and most likely driving relaxed in slower to mid tempo areas.

He is currently hosting the Mystic Moods nights at Berlin's rooftop adventure garden Klunkerkranich, where shared the stage with M.Rux, Don't DJ, Nu Guinea, Spatz Habibi, Kundan Lal, Len Leise, Philipp Matalla, Dj SoFa, Andi Otto, and Islandman, among others. Since 2008, he is presenting the incredible Abendlandung radio show (2008 - 2017 on underground radio station Piradio, since 2017 on experimental radio station Cashmere), where he shares his musical discoveries: everything old and new between ambient, soundtracks, avant garde, minimal music, post punk, downbeat, lysergica, outsider music, strange choirs, and other unusual sounds.

About the Ep: 
For the second release of 2018 we return to Mexico. We already released The Note V from Mexico, and now we proudly present you another great artist from this exciting country for quality electronic music: Francisco Favela aka Paco Effe aka Fec, which stands for Future Eternal Companion. Fec already appeared on quality labels such as Submarine Vibes and Mr.Moutarde, but next to being DJ/Producer, he is also co-founder of the very promising and ambitious Mexican label Anathema Records. We got in contact with him when our label manager Pedro Mercado did a remix for Anturage on their label last year. The title track of the EP “Camellia” is a fantastic deep and very powerful track: the warm drums, a mesmerizing vocal loop, a phat bassline and the many hypnotizing melodic elements will take you on a magical trip from the first till the last second. On the B-side we find “Morgana” which has a bit more groovy (tech)house elements and some vivacious percussions on top of it which will make everybody shake on the dancefloor. And last but not least we added a remix of “Morgana” from Formel. Formel is a DJ/Producer/Live duo consisting of Tom Noah and Bas van der Laken, based in Leiden in The Netherlands. When Fec came up with the proposal to have Formel for the remix, we didn't have to hesitate for a second, because Formel is already on our shortlist since the start of our label. We are fan of their releases on toplabels such as Einmusika, Traum, Sincopat, Weiter, Manual,… Their trademark blend of tech house and melodic progressive house sounds works perfectly on “Morgana” and turns it into a real melodic peaktime monster!

"Vergessen" is the first glimpse of David Mears forthcoming debut album. 
The debut album of this young french producer is a sonic kalaidoscope ranging from laid back grooves and soundscapes to massive basslines and uplifting synthies for your dancefloor pleasure. It reflects a time span of three years while he was travelling the world and meeting the right people at the right time. This ten tracks are like a series of postcard of ideal moments he lived during that time. 

For the vinyl heads we compiled a four track EP including an edit by label honcho @Noema. The best thing, we got you covered! The vinyl edition includes a download code for the complet album to enjoy this trip in his full length.

Silvio La Cava (AKA Silvio Bondage), from Milan (Italy), began his DJ career in 2000 at The Base in Milan, an important and iconic club which has hosted some of the best music parties in the north of Italy. Silvio went on to join the line up at “Colazione da Tiffany” (Breakfast at Tiffany's), a legendary party which has toured many of the major nightspots in Italy, and selects music for some of the most prestigious Designers’ fashion shows.
Silvio turned to production in 2010; with a sound that fuses Electronic, Slow, Downtempo and Deep House, featuring atmospheric airs and deep grooves.
