Since 1991, Kamal has been setting dance floors on fire, establishing himself as one of the longest-running promoters and DJs in U.S. Goa Trance history. But make no mistake—his legacy extends far beyond Psychedelic Goa Trance. From the raw underground energy of NYC’s 90s rave scene to the global stage, Kamal has mastered House, Techno, Trance, and everything in between, always pushing the envelope of sound and experience.

Coming up through the legendary club circuit—Limelight, Tunnel, Shelter, Vinyl, Twilo, Spirit, and Robots—he played a pivotal role in shaping the era’s EDM movement, working side by side with the industry’s most influential artists and promoters. By 1996, Kamal was a driving force in the Goa Trance scene, partnering with John Emanuel Gartman (JEG) of Tsunami Entertainment to bring mind-expanding beats to the masses. By 2001, he had solidified his place as an international headliner, serving as both lead promoter and resident DJ for Tsunami Trance (RIP JEG)—a legacy that continues to inspire today’s scene.

But Kamal didn’t stop there. He founded Dragontribe, his own trance music organization, blending progressive sounds, cinematic storytelling, and cutting-edge visuals. A long-time Earthdance promoter and a recognized member of the Return to the Source community, his journey led him to Burning Man, where he was awarded the prestigious Green Man 2007 Scholarship for his contributions to the culture.

With decades of experience in the EDM industry, Kamal continues to elevate dance music through DJing, VJing, and next-level multimedia performances—now expanding into music production, crafting fresh sounds that transcend genres and redefine dancefloor energy. His evolution as an artist embraces a fusion of Goa Trance, Progressive, Techno, House, and beyond.

Massive respect to the pioneers and collaborators who shaped the movement: Allen Sanctuary (Bliss), DJ Scotto (NASA), John Trepp (ESP Sun Rec), Soul Slinger (Liquid Sky), Scott Richmond (Satellite Records), JEG (Tsunami Trance), and Gille (Synthetic Sadus).
