Drummer & percussionist born in Figueira da Foz, Portugal. 
Started playing drums at the age of 15 and later on has studied with drummers such as Ronaldo Firmino (FadoMorse) and also studied at Atelier de Percussão (Porto) with Hugo Danin (Marta Ren, Tatanka, Gileno Santana). 
Progressive rock and metal were his primary influences at the outset, recording two albums with the band GrimleT thus stepping into the main stages of festivals and concerts all over the country for the next ten years. 
From there-on he attended a large variety of masterclasses & workshops with musicians such as Bruno Pedroso, Ruca Rebordão, André Silva, Francisco Lima, Pancho Tarrabia, Pedro Vasconcelos, Tiago Pereira, Marcelo Magliocchi and developed interests in a wide variety of musical styles such as funk, jazz, free improvisation and experimental sound art. 
All over the years he played in several bands and projects and a vast array of genres, from pop-rock to progressive death metal, jazz, folk, world music and others. Started producing workshops & music events at Tubo D'Ensaio Cultural Association where he was also drums teacher for more than ten years.
Currently, he teaches drums at Studio12 in Figueira da Foz & online drum lessons and has been working & playing with artists & projects such as Mercury Falls & "Queen Symphonic" tour, session-recording, Marcelo dos Reis "FLoRa" Trio and working on new release from his solo experimental/spoken-word project "Monge Azul".
